First, Aston Martin have to enter as constructor, and I don't think you'll have to wait very long, but first I'll only open entries to constructors (chassis and engine), then teams once I have enough manufacturers ;)

O.S.C.A. is entering as a chassis and engine manufacturer. They will also run a team again.

Maria Teresa de Filippis will continue with Alfa Romeo. If she continues with the 1952 Alfa or upgrade to a 1953 one will depend on the costs.

Bentley is entering again as both a chassis manufacturer and an engine manufacturer. Both chassis and engines will be designated as Bentleys, with the full team name being British Bentley Racing Motors. :)

Aston Martin will once again rule the track with their chassis. We also might sell engines to customers who are interested. Put our name on the list for now, we'll see what happens in terms of budgets.

Aqua will develop a secret (but rejectfully built) engine for themselves. (Something to know that the engine itself was actually made from scavenged parts of 1951 and 1952 engines :lol:)

Yes, indeed. All produced Mercedes-Benz engines are of equal quality. The only difference between a Mercedes-Benz customer and the works team shall be the chassis and the drivers. We are also very confident that our engines will be competitive from the outset, especially if we can reduce the engine weight.

No BMW engines? This is bad for my Ultimate-BMW team. BMW imports were already expensive, it seems we may have to abandon East Germany already and instead work in West Germany and go for Mercedes-Benz engines, if possible.

No manufacturer status for ENB in 1953. Customer cars and cust-cotting, it will be.
This means Bugatti is available for anybody who wants to take it, and is garantueed of selling at least one customer car to ENB. I'm not sure if i will have the budget to actually run the thing in many races (as running the already agreed customer Maserati will be costly enough)

yep that's clear enough. ART-Gordini will be a full-blown factory team.

For every model, design costs are only paid once, but building costs are paid for every new chassis built. To keep track of every car, all I need from the constructors is the model name (which will also help on the wiki) and also stating which chassis or engine you are selling (or upgrading, I'll get to that later on). The amount at which the components are sold are determined by the buyer and seller.

Constructor budgets
I've tried to take into account the success and background of every manufacturer, so if you have any objection, I'll see what I can do.

Ferrari - 1 000 000
Alfa Romeo - 1 000 000
Mercedes-Benz - 750 000
Gordini - 700 000
Maserati - 500 000
Aston Martin - 500 000
Bentley - 400 000
Phoenix - 350 000
O.S.C.A. - 250 000
Jaguar - 200 000
EMW - 150 000
Aqua - 50 000

Now, I'd like the constructors to state the name of the chassis and/or engines they will build, and may start doing so. Proper race entries will start in the coming days. Of course, new constructors may still enter at any time they wish to.

Well, you're only building engines, which cost less, so Aston get more (chassis cost more to build, and they're planning on building engines on the side). Put both together, and you've got a very decent budget indeed.

Looking at my budget, I'm definitely going for broke for chassis design here... going for the most expensive chassis design :twisted:
I'd like to see my budget afterwards before I decide whether or not I want to build engines (any customers who want any are welcome to do so!)

Since Phoenix Racing Organisation is only going to build the chassis, having forged a partnership with Mercedes to make sure the Silver Arrows take total, unadulterated domination of the sport with both us and the factory team, we're going to build the best chassis available, which will be named PRO-4.

Bentley's chassis shall be designated the Speed 3, with our engine the Bentley 163-1. (16 for cylinders, 3 for litres, and 1 for Formula 1).

If I was to go for the second most expensive chassis and engine, after subtracting design costs, how many chassis complete with engine could I build?

Since we have the money to do so, Jaguar will build five more JRE-2 engines, in order to sell to customer teams for $25k each. :)

Ferrari will design and build 4 of the best chassis, designated the Ferrari 555, and 4 of the best engines, designated the Ferrari 555 as well. 3 will be for Scuderia Ferrari, and one will be given to Ferrari America for $80,000. If they don't take up the option, then cancel the order. In addition, we will provide Ferrari America with two Ferrari 550s (the third-best chassis + fourth-best engine) free of charge.

All of that should leave Ferrari with just over half their budget left (more if Ferrari America don't take the 555).

EDIT: The 550 chassis and engine will also be available for customer teams for prices to be determined later.
