Churchill was born on December 26, 1910, in Kansas City, Missouri, and passed away on January 9, 2000, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
She is notably recognized for being John Wayne's first leading lady in the 1930 film The Big Trail.
Her filmography includes other notable works such as Riders of the Purple Sage (1931) and The Walking Dead (1936).
Beyond acting, she was married to actor George O'Brien and later to sculptor Peter Ganine, and had three children with O'Brien.
Churchill was also involved in various activities outside of acting, including being an honorary member of Actors Equity and a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
