The Crooksville China Company made dinnerware and other household products from 1902 to 1959. The Crooksville China Company, located in Crooksville, OH, was established in 1902. Initially, the company employed 125 people. By 1931, the employee number rose to 250. When Crooksville China ceased operations, the employee count was close to 300.
Crooksville joined the American China Manufacturers consortium in 1927. It became an independent company again after the consortium collapsed. Crooksville continued to produce dinnerware into the 1930s.
Crooksville China Company ceased operations in 1959 because of competition from Japanese imports and the introduction of plastic and paper dinnerware.
