This exquisite 10-piece Matryoshka set hails from the historic town of Sergiev Posad, the birthplace of traditional Russian nesting dolls. Crafted in 1994 and signed by the artist A. Abramov, each doll is individually hand-painted in rich, iconographic Orthodox style, a signature hallmark of this renowned region. The base bears the original signature “Сергиев Посад – AA94 – х. А. Абрамов – Russia,” affirming its authenticity and artistic provenance.
The set includes ten intricately nested dolls, all well-preserved with only minor signs of age. The fifth from the outside has a visible hairline crack, and the main doll shows a few small surface scuffs on the back.
