Was extremely difficult trying to find any information on this music box. I found out that this was originally a table lighter music box and was made in Japan in the 1950s and early 1970s by the popular Windmill Lighters. There was a brass small table lighter that sat inside of the globe however I have never seen this remarkable nostalgia and novelty accessory contain any such lighter. I had always just thought it was a music box (which it IS ALSO) it'll play the classic song "Around the World in 80 Days"
Regardless of it missing the lighter...like I said it doubles as a beautiful music box and a great stash spot for jewelry or money or any smaller valuables.
There are no markings anywhere on it that could find. However, it is in great shape for its age...all the Rhinestones are still in tact and providing this vintage globe with multi colored shining stars
When the knob is pulled out at the base it's activated the music to play and the glob to dance around it's foundation.
