Fern Opalescent Cranberrry Glass Salt Pepper Shaker, C 1894. Beautiful cranberry glass with swirls of opalescent fern leaves with period lids are seen in this salt and pepper set with metal screw on lids. There are no markings on the set, therefore I have not been able to pinpoint the manufacturer. Glass companies suggested are Beaumont, Fenton for LE Smith and West Virginia Glass Co.
Preowned in good condition with rough edges/chips to mouth of shakers; no cracks There is salt erosion seen on the one shaker lid inside and on the outer edge; tarnished. The lids twist off/on without difficulty. Measure approx 3 7/8" H (with lid on).
