This sweet figurine is made in Germany and similar to the popular Goebel bird, but not marked as such... There is also a backwards B on the bottom, but I'm not sure who that should be attributed to.... I found this and thought it was very powerful: The inverted "B" became a symbol of resistance used by prisoners at Auschwitz. This reversed "B" has since become a powerful symbol of remembrance and the human spirit's ability to resist oppression. I cannot verify that is the case, but wanted to include it as my best guess.
