Re: Community Podcast: Episode IV - A New Hope

I'm in for whatever I can do. I'm in GMT -6, available pretty much every weeknight after 5:00 or so.

I'll try to record a short thing later. I'm pretty good at making goofy small talk if there's any sort of agenda.

What I find interesting is that Pat Symonds is claiming that Piquet suggested a crash. If there is even the minutest possibility that Piquet suggested it, why has he been given immunity? Can it now be proven that he was operating on his own, but because he was part of Renault the team will be punish...

Kubica's still got it, and yes he still has motivation. But, again comparing to Alonso at Minardi.... It's much easier to push like a maniac and squeeze extra results out of the car when you have a point to make. There's less than no hope for the BMW, and Kubica has proven speed, so why bother riski...

In regards to the potential failure of Schumacher to do well and the resulting image destruction, recall that Ferrari have conditionally approved him to race--if he doesn't want to, he can still pull out, and I guarantee that if he of all people did not believe himself to be the best, he wouldn't ev...

KERS.

You repeatedly watched cars come up on a KERS car and just stop--no way to get by.

That was probably the most disappointing part of the entire race.

Though Kimi's idiotic attempt to drive around the outside of T1 was eminently laughable.

What about Carlos Reutemann? Politician in Argentina, and drove the F1 turbo cars, which automatically makes him perfect. Anyone who has driven a turbo car is a freakin' genius.

Though if we're going for anyone actually in the running, I have to say that I really think highly of Ari Vatanen.

I'm not so sure.

Considering tyres, Webber's probably going to start on the softer and then run the harder. Vettel will start on the harder. If Webber can make the tyres last through his stint, he may be able to jump Vettel and get the win.

All I can say is that yet again politics have taken priority over racing.
