Re: BBC commentary team?

I hope the Beeb will also announce that F1 will be in HD for 2011. I don't know if that is in BBC hands. It think it is in Bernies hands and he showed some resistance to it... It is mostly in Bernie's hands, since FOM provides the live feed for the TV crews, which are then relayed back to their res...

Had an email from the BBC saying they are aiming to make an announcement on their #F1 team line-up later today.

I'm really not sure that Brundle and DC is the right way to go. I'd prefer a commentator plus Brundle.

Re: New York GP in Jersey City

Remember this? 04 July 2008 Following discussions with Formula One Management, the FIA has confirmed that the British Grand Prix will be retained on the Formula One World Championship calendar, moving from Silverstone to its new home of Donington Park from 2010. FIA President Max Mosley said, “After...

Re: 1.5 Litre Turbo Engines to return to F1?

To switch from normally aspirated to forced induction engines would mark quite a shift from Ferrari - I can't actually think of a single engine which Ferrari have made for their road going division which used forced induction (although the V6 in the 246 Dino was later converted to a turbo form for ...

Re: USF1's Trailers For Sale

By far the most amazing thing about this story is: USF1 had trailers!? Well they sort of did. They are Brawn GP Trailers that they haven't actually got round to re-painting. It seems odd that they would need such a big trailer when they haven't actually built a car - they seem to have 'put the cart...

1.5 Litre Turbo Engines to return to F1?

Exclusive: F1 looking at 1.5 litre 'turbo' formula 14/04/2010 According to highly reliable Pitpass sources, F1's powers that be are seriously considering a switch to 1.5 litre powerplants in 2013 together with the return of turbochargers. For many, the turbocharged era (1977 - 1988) was one of the ...

Re: Hamilton done for dodgy driving...

I just wish he hadn't apologised. I remember the stories about Gilles Villeneuve driving from Monaco to Maranello in a 328, although I doubt the Italian Police would have impounded Gilles' car if they had caught him! Sounds like the Australian cop just wanted to make a name for himself. I can unders...

2) Adrian Campos has done an Alain Prost and grossly over-estimated the corporate interest in sponsoring a team in Spain and Brazi. Spain might be F1-mad, but they don't care for much outside Alonso. Don't worry. When they'll find loads of sponsors when they announce Luis Pérez-Sala as their 2nd dr...

I do like the over usage of the expression: "For sure, for sure". "For sure, they have the best car...". Mainly used by foreign drivers. It's not a translation from a foreign language either, from Italians to Germans use it. Have you seen this http://www.f1network.net/main/s169/...

Re: 25 August 1991 - Where were YOU?

I was 22. I was working for the company I still work for! I was living in a scruffy flat with my then girlfriend and we both loved F1. We would have watched the race sat on our squeaky bed-settee. I liked Senna and I liked Schumacher, especially during his battles against Hill. Since then we had 2 d...

Plus the second best selling F1 item is a Super Aguri polo shirt. Interesting to note that there is no BMW or Honda items and a single Toyota cap... I think he has some BMW and Honda stuff in his shop and I know he has a lot of Toyota stuff that is reduced. Sorry, I wasn't intending coming on here ...
