Re: Favorite Racing Book?

Two books that any racing fan should read are Niki Lauda's two books; "To Hell & Back" and then "For The Record". They both go into great detail about his early career, then March, BRM and Ferrari etc. His relationships with Ferrari, Forghieri[sic], Audetto, Willi Dungl etc. ...

This is terrible news. The quote from the Sky Sports boss on the BBC site says, "...this is great news for F1 fans...."

Errr....how ? :?

Thin end of the wedge too. I bet they will force the BBC to share their technology and all those great short films they put together.

Does anyone else think that there is a smell of hypocricy in the air, the way Hamilton passed Button, compared to the "shock" he felt at the way button passed him last year when they swapped positions for a couple of corners ?

I like these ! For me, the lack of overtaking has nearly always been a problem since I started watching in 1986, but the real fun has been unpredictability or a chase to the end. You know the problem this year ? Forcing drivers to run two compunds during the race. This means they have to stop. If th...

COMMENT ON LOEB In his defense, I will say that he is God in WRC and showed great speed at Le Mans. He is also a a hero in France. For the prosecution, I would say that he has had no real wheel-to-wheel experience of racing at close quarters. Le Mans does not count as the Pescarolos were in a league...

I vote for Barrichello. That outburst, from someone of his experience is a bit daft. Had he been 2/3rds of the way through a bottle of wine, I could forgive him, but that was a bit silly

Ross Brawn should fire him and give the drive to Anthony Davidson.

In theory, any team worth it's salt will have working on a new diffuser even before the hearing/result. However, with no testing, it is all about simulators and data.
