Re: 090420 Chinese GP Edition

To be fair, Nelson Piquet Jr. did have one spectacular spin where he took out a styrofoam advertisement that resulted in a nice explosion of commercialism. I thought that was pretty spectacular anyway.

I still like my Kimi Raikkonen Ice Cream and Coke Chatroom idea. During the Chinese GP there were three posters on the forum that kept posting back and forth in the Chinese GP thread. A chatroom would've resulted in some interesting conversation and I can only see attendance going up as the rounds r...

To be honest, it was an understandable error. I was expecting "God Save the Queen" when the podium celebration started since I knew Red Bull to be Jaguar/Stewart and just assumed they were listed as an English team. It wasn't until I read this thread that I realized Mateschitz might want i...

I think it partly has to do with the fact that the contributions of two of the most successful team principal/car designer in F1 of the modern era are finally bearing fruit. Don't forget the STR/Red Bull is a Newey creation and Brawn GP is run by Ross Brawn. Add to this internal turmoil in McLaren a...

How about Tung Ho-Pin? Despite me being a fan, his GP2 and A1GP results probably put him in the Hideki Noda bracket in F1. Occasionally fast on his day, but mostly anonymous. China's closest F1 hope, but if he ever makes it to F1, he'll probably be similar to Alex Yoong, though I mean the real Alex,...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - China

On second thought, I'm voting for Ferrari. After three races they're still on zero points and for whatever reason Kimi just seemed completely lacking in the pace department today. They actually had a shot at the podium with Massa, but as seems current Ferrari tradition, they manage to shoot themselv...

Is the Safety Car to Brawn's benefit or not? It looks like they can refuel behind the safety car and while that will drop them down, the time lost might not be as bad. We'll see I guess.

Super Aguri and Takuma Sato WCC and WDC? Sadly only in my dream, but imagine if SAF1 won the first two races of 2009. Would they no longer be our favorite team since they are in essence a front running team? Or would their small team status continue to endear them to us F1Rejectees?

I could just see the rules being changed at the end of the year. Banning them then makes it much simpler. Of course they could also change the rules in the context of improving safety in the middle of the season. While that'll be a harder sell diffusers were chopped in the middle of the season in 19...

Re: Does anyone here rate Sebastian Bourdais?

I may be a little late to the party, but I don't rate Bourdais at all. When the STR came good last year, he was far off of Vettel's pace and this year he's struggling against a rookie that isn't highly rated. Then again considering I'm probably the biggest Sato fan in North America, I might just be ...
