Re: 2018 United Statesian Grand Prix

This is Kimi's 21st win and thus he surpasses Mika Häkkinen (20 wins) as most wins by a Finnish driver.

Mika's last win was 2001 United States and 2018 United States will (most likely) be Kimi's last win.

Superb race.

Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race: Bahrain 2018

1. Pierre Gasly - Wow! Where did the pace and consistency come from. Only blunder was nearly letting Magnussen past after the VSC.

2. Marcus Ericsson - Showed Leclerc some pretty good racecraft by nursing the car home to 9th.

Re: Reject of the Race: Bahrain 2018

1. Red Bull - Everyone knew Williams was going to struggle. But the fact that both RBR cars were out of the race after ca 5 minutes is disappointing! 2. Romain Grosjean - Soundly beaten by Magnussen in qualifying (Q3 vs. Q1) and his race wasn't any better. Didn't do any favors for the team by holdin...

Re: 2018 Australian Grand Prix thread

Really impressed by Haas! I actually hope they can keep their cool tomorrow and get a strong result to start the season.

Bottas' mistake was silly. Not how you keep your drive for 2019 and assuming Hamilton wins tomorrow he will already by 25 points down on Lewis.

Also impressed by Kimi.

Re: 2017 Chinese Grand Prix - IIDOTR

1. Sainz - Should clearly have gotten the Renault seat instead of Hülkenberg. Consistent and mistake free now in two races.

2. Verstappen - Strong drive. Really nice overtakes.

HM - Magnussen.

Re: 2017 Chinese Grand Prix - Reject of the Race

1. Hülkenberg - He needs to get it together and start lead the team. Two penalties and slow pace otherwise doesn't exactly indicate that. 2. Räikkönen's strategy - What were they thinking on the pit wall? Should apply to be his race engineer since anyone would be more competent. HM - Bottas (had goo...

Re: The 2017 Australian Grand Prix Thread

Well, it was certainly not a classic Grand Prix by any means. Okay, the battle for the lead was okay but after Vettel emerged from the pitstops in the lead the top 5 was more or less settled. The TV feed (Sky) was not the best either and I am seriously so done with Crofty. The cars were impressive t...

Re: The 2017 Silly Season thread

I believe Bottas has been more or less tied to Williams for 2017, his last year of his current contract with them, and it's possible Williams and Renault couldn't find an agreement over 2017. Williams really need Bottas for continuity for 2017. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Bottas has already ...

I meant realistic in the following senses: - Suitable for Formula One - Realistic location - Think about were possible runoffs, stands, pit complex could be but don't put too much energy into that. Mostly that the layout and location are realistic for F1. You can use existing roads or build your own...
