Lando obviously, also HMs to Ocon for finally getting Alpine a point and both junior Red Bull drivers for mixing it with the big teams (yes I'm including the sprint for Danny Ric).

Good on The Hulk for that move. I do think he's a bit wasted in that Haas. Just shows you can still impress driving for a relatively poor team!

Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - China 2024
I actually believe there's more of a case for it here (Lando beating 3 cars you wouldn't expect him to) than at Suzuka, just for whoever happened to be 10th in the best of the rest after the top 5 teams minus Stroll arseing it up.

Definitely Lando No-Wins gets it for me - on form you'd have had him not just behind Checo but also Ferrari too and he beat all three. I did get a bit excited he might be able to remove the No-Wins tag when Max was worried about a puncture but false alarm! HMs to The Hulk (not just for scoring for H...

Stroll shouldn't have been mired in amongst Haases and Saubers etc so probably should be him.
Danny Ric, Sargeant, Alpine (they looked like they were being passed left, right and centre every time we saw them) and Hamilton seemingly being very passive all the time all DHM's.

Very slim pickings here but think it has to be Yuki for a feel-good first home points for 12 years - everyone else was about as expected or poor.

Thought of a couple more late odd DHM's not mentioned yet: McLaren - yes that sounds weird given their best combined finish of the year. But if they tactically swapped cars earlier to allow Lando the chance the threaten Charles but couldn't get it done, usually swapping them back is the done thing? ...

Sainz/Ferrari - seriously when is this guy going to get the recognition he deserves? Mercedes and even Red Bull should be running to sign him. Alonso - he should have known better than that. He pulled the same stunt on Coulthard way back at Nurburgring in 2003 (I think!) and it was that incident which made DC realise 5 years later that Michael ramming him up the back at Spa 1998 was really his own fault. Alonso was young and inexperienced ...

Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Saudi Arabia 2024
For something different apart from Bearman and Haas scoring a point which is like gold dust to the lower half of the field, I think Alonso deserves a mention based on the team's form in Bahrain (clearly 5th fastest), beating both Mercedes and a McLaren with their regular drivers meant he was punchin...

Gotta be Stroll for me. Just not good enough and he's wasting a decent seat. I was thinking K-Mag but being tactical to get them team a point compensates. Yeah Danny Ric was rubbish too actually. To think he's a candidate for a Red Bull seat next year on that!! Also "all but Red Bull" agai...

The other thing I couldn't understand was Leclerc's attempt to have Checo in between him and George . This could be down to 8 cars next year unless Red Bull fire Checo so Lawson goes in the Alpha Tauri instead of Danny Ric! (If it stays as per current contracts then Alpine will be the only team with 2 cars).

Deffo Aston Martin (the team as a whole) - Alonso showed some brilliant intelligence in battle with Checo, and even Stroll was much closer to his team leader than early in the year - good all-round. Though it's probably too late to do anything about McLaren for 4th overall.

It's pretty much a toss-up between Mercedes and Ferrari - you wouldn't think these 2 teams were vying over 2nd in the constructors. (Though I think without Leclerc's going on the parade lap it would easily have been Merc).

I'm going Alfa Romeo for a priceless double points finish. HMs to McLaren/Piastri (though I now think podiums are the norm for them so think they need to beat Max to get the award) and Russell and his car's strength for a great comeback drive having been savaged by his teammate.
