Re: U.S.A and F1 are incompatible (Editorial)

I don't think that it has anything to do with F1 being "Too European" but has more to do with the lack of a larger than life American driver who is successful in the series. Exactly. That alone is a reason why its not popular in US, and also why it hasn't been as popular as it is now in m...

Re: Ugliest Non-Reject Car design

83 was the worst ever year design-wise until 07-08. Almost all eyes were at first basically 82 cars with shortened sidepods and then just.. ugly

There's not been a death in motorsports (that I follow) since I've been a fan. Then you either haven't been following long enough or aren't following widely enough. There has been suprisingly many fatalities in top-tier motoracing even in the recent years. Dale Earnhardt in NASCAR died 2001, Greg M...

Re: Ugliest Non-Reject Car design

Yep, the whole 1983 season if i recall correctly.

But yes, it was ugly as bathplug, looks more like a cast-iron Hotwheels car than an F1

The sidepodless 1983 JS21:

You can cry for the V10's and V12's all you want, I am still mourning the departure of the greatest engines of all time, The Turbocharged V6's of the Eighties. The Sound of The Tag Porsches, The BMW, The Ferraris and the Hondas are something I regret I could never experience live. (Living In Finland...
