Schumacher given a 5-place grid penalty for Monaco with regards to his accident with Senna.

Seems to the stewards don't believe it wasn't his fault.

Re: Schumacher to replace Massa

I think that was the point Captain Hammer was getting at, LionZoo - Perhaps not the "legitimate concern" bit. CH, whilst being on the "Ferrari dislikers" side of the fence you can probably take this with a pinch of salt, but I really don't think there is any way to regulate what ...

Re: Schumacher to replace Massa

I'd just like to point out that I'm not a Ferrari fan! I hated Schumi during his career, largely for what he did to Damon Hill in 1994. I just don't understand what all the fuss is about. It's perfectly fair to give an exemption to one driver if all teams agree . Nobody is being pressured into allo...

Re: Schumacher to replace Massa

I for one thought Ferrari were brazen to the extreme in even asking for a test for Schumi. I was even more surprised when Howett and Haug came out in support of the idea. I completely agree with the teams that have opposed and, like many of you, can't believe how churlish Ferrari's response was, al...

Same here, Carlos. As a Williams fan as well, I just can't believe how childish the statement sounds. Infact, saying that the reason Williams' opinion shouldn't be taken seriously as they are "a team that hasn't won anything for years" goes beyond childish in some ways, seriously right - j...

Vettel interested in WRC outing / F1 <-> WRC One-off

With Kimi recently partaking in the World Rally Championship and now Vettel expressing an interest (see here: m). With the ever increasing number of F1 drivers, granted only two but still - it's increasing, and a certain WRC driver interested in a move to F1 - I was wondering how great it would be i...

Me too, Tristan. But I don't quite understand the logic here. Although I'm not one of Schumacher's biggest fans, and I say with a nice large helping of salt , he is a very quick driver, but come on! Yes, but Arrows never really improved their car as much as McLaren did in the build up to the weekend.

Anyway, Arrows had an unfavoured Yamaha engine on Bridgestone tyres (making their début year, iirc) and the car had only scored a point (Hill at Silverstone) up to that point in the season. ;)

They're designed to withstand an impact if you crash into something, not if something hits you directly on the head - if you understand. They actually test the visor by shooting a high speed steel ball at it and measuring that the deflection is less than 2.5 mm. But again, testing doesn't solve EVE...

I get the feeling this is just a bluff. But considering today, Friday, that the conditions of those "bad" teams have to be taken off or else then I doubt it isn't a bluff. F1 should be taking a stance like they do in Le Mans. Manufacturers come and go, even Ferrari (unless I get corrected,...

Tough, tbh. BMW Sauber are up there, although one could argue the point for Toyota. Taking out inexperience, they threw away a very strong position other teams would capitalise on.
