Re: o Re: What If?
At gnrpoison thanks for your detailed response I didn't appreciate just how much F1 in the mid / late 1980's probably would have changed by Honda sticking with Spirit. Certainly food for thought there. But how cool would it have been to see a powerful turbo engine like Honda in an awful chassis wit...

Re: What If?
What if Honda carried on with the Spirit outfit in the mid 80's rather than supplying engines to Williams and then Mclaren. Success? Just noticed this had been unanswered so will give it a go. First thing first with no Honda engine at the end of 1983, Williams will need something to partner up for ...

Alternate Future History 2013 F1 World Championship
We enter year 3 of our story on the exploits of the Randle BMW team and its lead driver Adam Randle. 2012 was successful for the driver and saw the team make a lot of progress in their second year. He is still without a win in Formula One and came very close to it in a few races, however 2012 will b...

Re: Most Forgettable Drivers
I wonder if there was more teams on the gird if the likes of Buemi, Alguersuari etc. would have had longer careers in F1, perhaps with only 20 - 22 cars back in the eighties I imagine there would be a lot more drivers with shorter careers. It is amazing that Ghinzani, Moreno, Alboreto, Alliot and s...

Re: Most Forgettable Drivers
I wonder if in a few years, people will remember DiResta, Buemi, Alguersuari or Glock having raced in F1. Out of the drivers excluding those who did a few races I imagine those 4 will become forgettable. I imagine on the current grid Mehri and Stevens will not be remembered outside GPRejects fandom,...

I hope for more steady progress from Manor, hopefully both drivers can qualify within the 107% time on merit. Hopefully the Mehri's race data will serve them well from Malaysia, as hopefully both can race this weekend as I presume it will be easier now then it was before a few weeks ago.

I've said it before and I will say it again. I am sick and tired of F1Fanatic go in at Pastor Maldonado and F1 fans generally. Really hoping that Manor can qualify. As seen in Australia with McLaren, when the top runners turn up the wick in quali you can be some way off the pace. Stevens looks OK but Merhi (who has had far more time in an F1 car I must add) needs to find something. Likewise I hope they do, Stevens has been...

1. The Starting grid, 15 cars is a horrible amount, in 1993 we 10 extra cars at the first round and 11 more in some other years. FIA, Bernie whoever, sort it out so we can have at least 13 teams to attempt to race, granted reliability did not help today. However if you have only 9 teams who can race...

2. Button, was really hoping for one more retirement so he could get points.
