Re: 2011 Australian Grand Prix discussion thread
Fantastic drive by Petrov. It is far too easy to dismiss him as a rent a driver, but he is actually quite competent. Sad to say, but imagine if Kubica was in the other car rather than Nick ZZZZZZZZZZZfest...

Re: 2011 Australian Grand Prix discussion thread
I thought the race was dull and I went back to bed after 27 laps. Just watched the second half which wasn't much better.
But - one positive was Brundle and Coulthard. They did a good job. I'm surprised Hamilton didn't get the black and orange flag though.

A great magazine
Personally, I am fed up with how downmarket - and expensive - Autosport has become. I have however found a better (and cheaper) alternative. It is called GP+ and is an E-Magazine written by an excellent team after every race. If you have £25 to spare, I suggest you give it a whirl. At the moment, yo...

Re: An amazing development
I didn't realise you could get into the Paddock until later (it was my first time there after all) so I didn't get any photos of him in person sadly. However, he is in Mini number 26 in this shot - chasing after two american Mustangs in a bloody mini! It was a shame he broke down after two laps. Ton...

I went to Oulton Park in the UK today for a historic race meeting with classic touring and sportscars (as well as some Formula Fords - my pictures of the event here: m) Anyway, I was down by the hairpin when the circuit announcer said "and in car number 6, we have former Grand Prix Driver ROBER...

Re: A funny tale about Jonesy
It is a great podcast - if only because it involves Nigel Roebuck - the greatest F1 author of all time IMHO. I have a subscription to their magazine, it's always a great read. I used to think that Nigel is the man until I realised that he is f-ing critic of the small teams (listen to/read their 201...

Re: Reject F1 Cars
I seem to recall I wrote in to the podcast to say that the Renault R29 looked like it had been made out of a cross between lego, modeling clay and a deckchair. Enoch actually thought it was a nice looking car. I hear the van with square wheels is on the way...

I don't know if I will be banned for posting a link to another podcast (hope not). However, I have discovered the motorsport magazine podcast recently and it is very good if you are interested in the history of F1. I couldn't resist posting a link to this interview with Patrick Head, which includes ...

I always thought that the Lambo was a remarkable looking car. Martin Brundle once said that a good looking car is rarely slow - whereas a slow car is often pig ugly (see Damon Hill's 1992 Brabham). The Lambo was classy. I particularly like the sidepods. Remember that Lola from 1997? That hit every b...

Bahrain - What a rubbish place to start a Championship!
I don't know about everyone else, but I am hacked off with us starting the championship in Bahrain. I used to love getting up early in the morning to watch proceedings at Albert Park - it was alway a ritual of mine every March to get up at some ungodly hour. And nine times out of ten, we have had a ...

Re: BBC news quoting Robert Kubica 'seriously injured'
I can't see them sticking with Bruno Senna - I have never thought he was that special. The way I see it, it is probably a good bet for them to take a risk on a young superstar in the making - take him on uber cheap and then use him to ditch Petrov mid season. Surely Heidfeld can't come back again? W...

Re: You Lucky Bastard for teams?
I was going to say Larousse, but having looked them up I am shocked to see they actually scored about 20 points. I could only recall Aguri San's efforts in Japan back in 1990. As for Toleman, Warwick scored 9 points for them in that old dog double wing thing in 1983. My favourite Montiverdi story is...

Hey everyone, I'm new around here, but not new to the Podcast. It's Gary Slevin here, long time contributor of random crap to Jamie and Enoch's efforts.
