Re: Reject of the Year (ROTY) 2018

In defense of Brendon Hartley, his pace wasn't terribly far off of Gasly's, and he improved as the season went on - this against a driver Red Bull saw fit to promote to the main team. It wasn't the greatest season ever, but I think nominating him for Reject of the Year is a bit harsh. And since I'm ...

It might be a bit of a dumb choice, but I want to say Marcus Ericsson , simply because as amazing as Charles Leclerc is, the fact that Ericsson was just about able to stay in the same postcode as him, and contribute a decent handful of points was one of the most surprisingly nice things about F1 thi...

Here's a massive 20/20 hindsight vision ponder - just the way you like it: I watched the Senna movie again at the weekend; how would he have fared in subsequent years if he'd stayed at McLaren for the rest of his presumably long career? While I generally don't consider pre-F1 drivers when thinking about the greatest driver of all time, because it's hard enough for someone born in 1992 to form a worthwhile opinion on the likes of Fangio and Clark, I do find it pretty asinine when people insist "F1 only".
