Re: Unusual F1 Stats
With the sad news about Patrick Tambay, the 1985 Portuguese GP now has all 3 podium finishers having died sadly :-( Also very sad to see that five of the six points scorers in that race have died. :( De Angelis was fourth and Bellof sixth, only fifth-placed Mansell is still with us. I came here to say that Sebastian Vettel's podium at Hungary last year, which was disallowed, ended up being his final one in F1. Are there other drivers whose final podium/win was disallowed? Obviously Schumacher's last pole was disallowed at Monaco. Stefan Bellof lost what was not only his last b...

Russell does it – a win in Abu Dhabi sees him break Leclerc's three-year-old record for most wins in a season. Matching the championship results, Norris finishes second (with fastest lap) and Ocon third, Stroll taking fourth place. Final championship standings for 2022: Russell 529 (18 wins, 2 2nd) ...

Mick Schumacher: Ricciardo and Vettel had a nice last race, sadly that wasn't the case for Mick. And in a reminder of last year's infamous Grand Prix, the crash just had to be with Latifi again (also ending Nicholas' last race in disappointment).

I guess I'll split my vote between Vettel and Ricciardo – the last couple of years haven't been the best of their career (more so for Ricciardo, thus my lower expectations for him), but they both went out on a high with points finishes.

Max Verstappen: Good recovery drive, but to mess up the relationship with your team mate over two points and a sixth place is ridiculous. Very childish and selfish, even if team orders are never nice.
Dishonorable mention to McLaren for pretty much losing their chances to get 4th in the WCC.

And we all think Max winning 14 races for real is boring lol. Daniel Ricciardo for an impressive recovery, I was sure the penalty would cost him any chance at points. Apart from the Tsunoda crash, that was his best drive of the season.
I won't nominate some guy named Ross that I've never heard of before and wasn't even in Mexico.

For the lack of better nominations, I'll go with Ferrari. So far behind both Red Bull and Mercedes, they're lucky that the rest of the field was even slower.
Not nominating Mercedes strategy, as I never thought they'd have a chance of beating Verstappen on any strategy.
