In a deal with Rob Lomas Racing, Arnason will be replaced with Mikhail Karimov for the rest of the season. Rob Lomas will replace Karimov at Rob Lomas Racing.

In the end Arnason does survive and due to quick medical intervention there is no permanent damage to his brain.
