Re: 2019 Reject of the Year Nominations and Awards

Initially I had Williams as my ROTY, but now you guys have helped made me realise it was just my brain that was wired too casually and not to the true Reject tradition of geekdom where expectation plays a large part. At least they have it going for them that they kinda survived without embarrassing ...

Re: Unusual F1 Stats

Indeed the author is making excellent work and I truly applaud him for trying to take up the task of ranking the drivers with an objective model. Granted, I am of the opinion that a model can never be perfect - and don't get me wrong, it's certainly not because of the low ranking of the 80's drivers...

UncreativeUsername37, have you taken a look at the F1 Metrics website? It might be the sort of thing that is of interest to you, as the person behind that site has attempted to take a statistical approach towards rating drivers, as well as considering the potential long term potential of some drive...

Now I must begin by admitting that due to reasons related to work obstructing a lot of F1 from me, I only saw maybe 40% of the races and barely any qualifying sessions at all. So take my rankings with a pinch of salt. Drivers 1 Lewis Hamilton - not as commanding as in 2017-18, with a few mistakes do...

It's a shame the activity has dipped lately. I blame that on the FIA eliminating the true Rejects. This is probably the nicest community I know online. It's a trait not many forums have these days, or have ever had, and I hope it enables us to continue - even if it is with "only" the curre...
