In Monaco 1996 he had a crash with Irvine in last laps and was qualified 5th too, but he didn't completed full race distance and probably had pitted.[/quote] Not quite. He was involved in the hilarious low speed crash near the end of the race where Irvine clouted the barrier roughly where Schumi ha...

As for reject F1 games, I once tried F12003 for PS2 and 15 minutes was enough for me... Damn right! I only got a PS2 at the tail-end of last year as I wanted to take advantage of the lower prices of games and huge second hand market, which has so far worked very well (Plus they still make things li...

If I remember correctly, the A20 was pretty much the A19 with a new paint job and a couple of aero updates, and the A19 was slow and unreliable. Whatever Rosset's opinions on how he was treated by the teams he drove for, I totally believe him when he says Villeneuve was an utter knob. Nice of Buemi to try to recreate this at the GP this year wasn't it?

Next year, do you think someone will recreate the massive Piquet/Patrese crash from 84 if we ask nicely?

Re: Most Forgettable Drivers

Franck Lagorce is one of my favourites discussed so far, if only because I think he made the front cover of an F1 book. 'Racers' by Richard Williams shows a broken Ligier on the cover with the driver walking away looking absolutely downcast and I'm pretty sure it's Lagorce having crashed in the wet ...

Yes but was his KERS system working?

Whenever they went to the onboard shot I don't remember the little battery graphic ever having a yellow portion in it, though maybe I'm going mad as no-one seemed to pick up on this. I know they said Raikkonen was having problems with his.

I hope the newspapers are happy now, particularly the one who reported the orgy story first (from the stable that brought you the 'facts' that all the Liverpool fans at Hillsborough were hooligans) as to me this sad death must have some connection to those events. This country really needs to get it...

Well, I'm biased obviously! But leaving aside my F1 hero, I'm surprised no-one's mentioned Alessandro Nannini. OK, he couldn't get any points but that was mainly because the car never made it to the finish as the engine always grenaded itself or various bits fell off, but when it was on the track he...

Hmmm. There don't seem to be many roles left, so I suppose I'll have to be the one holding an umbrella over the driver on the grid then. As long as I get to do something reject worthy ie leaving the brolly hanging off the rear wing to ruin downforce for example.

I'd like Lamborghini/Modena/whatever they were really called back as they didn't really have a proper chance, were incredibly unlucky in having cars conk out twice when in the points, and made a car that at least looked different (I rather liked it!) And they hired 2 of the unluckiest people in F1 o...
