Re: The Alessandro Zanardi IndyCar Thread

Congrats to Simon Pagenaud for winning the 2016 IndyCar drivers championship. He is probably the only driver to win the prestigious US open-wheel crown who still has yet to win his first race on an oval (not counting Mark Plourde, of course). That is quite a feat to have achieved, and a surprising o...

After more than a quarter of a century, Chip Ganassi and Target are parting ways. Even though they had been scaling back their sponsorship the last few seasons, it's still a huge surprise. With Turkey seemingly getting more dictatorial by the day, how likely do you think it is that they will bid again for a Grand Prix in the name of prestige? Would Istambul Park be still available? Bernie surely likes these kind of clients and the track at Kurtkoy is his anyway.

What do you think?

So whose money is it that buys Sauber? Who has been investing in Longbow?
Who gets free Paddock Club tickets now?

Are they going to follow the Genii business model in F1 and sell Sauber back to BMW once they are spent? What are the benefits for a financial company to invest into an F1 team?
