Re: Trulli and Kovalainen confirmed at Lotus

well trulli's only victory was at monte carlo unless i'm very much mistaken, if he can put the car on pole there... (if moreno could qualify a andrea moda there everything is possible)

if i'm ever to start a train manufacturer company, i'll call it trulli-train, actually that sounds quite good :P

if i'd make this list tomorrow, it might be different, but anyway: I put some older drivers in front, assuming that these cars were really beasts, but then off course, i wasn't there too see it, so i'm just guessing 0 HWNSNBM 1 Moss 2 Ascari 3 Fangio 4 Clark 5 Lauda 6 M Schumacher 6 Senna 8 Stewart ...

nowadays i really get the impression they're not allways pushing to the maximum and aren't anjoying it as much as they could (thankfully there are still some exceptions) this might be because strategy, but mostly with a total lack of guts and making silly excuses like 'the car is impossible to drive...

Re: Another new points system...

that's why you need to give points for them, if one of the top drivers falls back, well, he got at least one reason te keep charching
but anyone who sets the fastes lap gets a benefit for it, every point could be crucial, so it's a good way of keep at least some drivers pushing.

Re: Another new points system...

it's not completely unnecessairy, it pushes drivers who don't have a chanche to score points on position to keep going fast, and that's not a bad thing.

Re: F1's Greatest Driver

And Bellof shouldn't be in the list at all... I respectfully disagree. Bellof was amazing, if he hadn't been killed he'd have been a champion also it's the way he got killed... doing an overtaking manouvre against no-one less than ickx at of all places... eau rouge... well i guess the difference be...

Re: Another new points system...

no but really, things like 'fastest lap' and 'most places gained by overtaking cars (not by pitstops or retirements) during the race should be rewarded with a point or so. the pole however is nowadays pretty useless to reward unless somehow trulli unlocks his best qualifying skills for a glory run a...

Re: Reject Grands Prix / Circuits

but anyway, it's always been known as a rejects track (especially by teams, but drivers didn't like it either) and it would be reject if it returns, if champ cars couldn't overtake, then f1 certainly couldn't there is no space in the pitlane, and the track is way too narrow i actually love the track...

Lammers goes to dakar! In a truck!

Not really big news, but he's a reject after all, so it's worth mentioning.
He will replace the dutch driver Frits Van Eerd, known from the Jumbo Supermarkets in a GINAF-Truck

so that's the second reject after Paola Barilla who tries the rally in the truck category!
