Re: The Manor Marussia Thread

It's been calculated that Haryanto needs 12.4 million text messages to keep his drive. From what I've read, most of the money has been paid up, there's this additional element required to keep his seat that isn't coming from sponsors, hence the fundraiser. Indonesian source (not sure on reliability...

Re: 2016 Chinese Grand Prix

Just my 2 cents here, but Hamilton was 29 points behind with 7 races to go in 2014 and still managed to turn it around, so being 36 behind with 18 races to go, while not ideal is really doesn't change Hamilton championship bid. If anything, this situation is good for the championship. As for the rac...

Re: 2016 China GP - Reject of the Race

I would go with Vettel before Palmer, but that is my view. Vettel had a very rejectful moment in hitting his team-mate and then tried to gallantly pin the blame on someone else. Sure Palmer had a bad race and was very poor but being beaten by Manor's is not what it used to be (although being beaten ...

And now Williams are having trouble with tyres coming off the rim (if you believe Pirelli) or punctures (if you believe Williams). This doesn't look good. Re: End of the road for Sauber?

I really don't think the FIA would care if they lost Sauber. They haven't won any championship (or races even if you count BMW Sauber as a separate entity) so from the FIA's perspective, they would not be losing any "history" if Sauber were to fold. It seems that they would be happy to lo...

He may be strictly speaking wrong there in that in football at least various small rule tweaks have happened down the years - mostly around the offside rule, but I do like the fact that if I watch a match and it finishes 0-0 then commentators, pundits, fans, whoever won't be moaning about how shite...

IF Sauber falls out of the sport, it should be a wake up call for the FIA. It will be a sad, sad day for F1 to see a team like Sauber forced to pack up. I mean, for teams like HRT and Caterham it was just a matter of time before it happened, just like so many other teams who enter the sport and nev...

I have the feeling Williams will mess with the strategies again despite having and interesting set of tyres. Well, what's new? I feel that they cannot mess it forever. On pure odds only.
