A 46-year-old Tony Trimmer at the wheel of an ex-F5000 Lola dominating a Formula Libre race on the weekend of Ireland's top circuit racing event... which isn't saying a lot, but anyway, the former Maki man managed to lap the entire field in 16 laps of Mondello Park, back when it measured just under...

First proper race that i've watched live, and I enjoyed it. I thought the track really allowed the cars to look fast and dangerous. Always good watching cars slide around and not appear to be on rails. A solid 5/7.

Having rewatched Spa 1998, I wonder what would the procedure be if that pile-up had happened in the last few seasons, given that spare cars are banned at present. I do hope Carmen Jorda stays with the Renault team. Why? Not even I can think of a good reason why she ought to stay. Has she even had the chance to get behind the wheel this year? Eye candy Anyway, we need someone to represent women drivers in F1. Although I would rather prefer if it were Simona.

Alfa Romeo first used a naturally aspirated engine in their first few seasons as a constructor. I always thought with their reliability woes that they always had a Turbo. But all F1 engines in the 1950s were normally aspirated? I guess you're referring to the 1980s-spec Alfa team however? Yes I mea...

I'd be alright with a switch, I remember the ITV days quite fondly except for that godawful theme tune. Who was that by again? Jamie Rockway or somebody. I liked the old track, because it offered up something a bit different, and went alongside Monza and the old Hockenheim as decent power tracks, which we're sorely lacking these days to balance out the rest. That said, I also like the new track. At first sight I was very sceptical of the stadium lay...

As much as I love Manor, Rossi only got where he got to because others crashed out. And being able to unlap himself twice from the safety car certainly helped.

I thought Nasr drove well as did all four Red Ball drivers.
