Re: Nelson Piquet, how long will he last?

Nelsinho sure talks the talk: Q: How are you finding the pressure? NP: This is not easy to answer. The Melbourne track did not suit me so well, so this race will be a good showcase and test for myself. I want to qualify well, and if possible even ahead of Fernando (Alonso). Re: KERS

Isn't it fascinating that this year, there is a thing, an inanimate object seriously considered as campaigning for Reject Of the Year honors, even at this early point in time? Don't we all love inanimate objects getting awarded reject status?! If it doesn't prove interesting for the sport it's a re...

Re: Nelson Piquet, how long will he last?

Sato is indeed the most likely driver to get into a race seat, in case one becomes available by another driver being dropped by a team. I still wonder why he hasn't been named as RBR and Toro Rosso's official reserve driver. Maybe not to put too much pressure on Buemi and Bourdais? Just speculating...

Re: KERS

The idea behind KERS is good, but at this point I don't think can be successfully implimented. If the minimum weight was increased, it might help teams get around the weight issue. Williams' flywheel system could change that depending how it works, but if the flywheel loosens, it will be lethal to ...

I'll still go for McLaren. They probably messed up so much because they were desperate for any points they could gather, so uncompetitive is the car.

Re: Lewsis Disqualified From Australian GP

Great, so another season of waiting a week to see what the actual race result was after the stewards have finished messing around with it. I guess it's better then just leaving things as they were but could they really not have gotten hold of the evidence earlier? Well, it's bound to get more assis...

Think anyone out there has the money?

They'll just need to beg to Richard Branson for that.

I don't think so. Money's gonna run out, probably, and they just had to fire 245 employees. Not nearly resources enough.

Re: KERS

Could be. I still think the cars are not faster with it - cue Kubica, we're really fortunate BMW is not giving KERS to both. Did anyone else realize that Hamilton and Raikkonen were using it in different points/situation of the track? Hamilton was using it on the long straights, after he picked up s...

Re: Lewsis Disqualified From Australian GP

I was wondering if we were going to get that transcript. Thanks for that, it makes it clear. They messed up and, fan of Lewis as I am, this just proves they deserve the penalty.

KERS

Right, still early days to evaluate the contraption, but here's the question: is KERS the new F1 reject for 2009? Let's see: Pluses - Helped Hamilton climb up the classification Minuses - Kubica (not using it) consistently faster than Heidfeld (using it) - Didn't seem to have much use for Ferrari - ...

McDonald's? Sounds good. How about General Motors? Truly the "National Team", it should be nationalized by then!

Re: Nelson Piquet, how long will he last?

Right, I'll bite the bullet and give my own wild prediction: Nelsinho out before Monaco, Sato (?!) in his seat. Alonso immediately starts a silly conflict with team and leaves to occupy Kimi's place in Ferrari before Budapest, while the Finn is busy chasing another bottle of Smirnoff around the pit ...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Australia

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a new challenger! It's none other than the reigning World Champion himself, Mr. Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton , who has quite literally just been disqualified from the Australian Grand Prix for what the stewards describe as "providing evidence deliberately misleadi...
