A mocked-up version of the new Mercedes-Benz 190E adapted to the new for 1991 Super Touring ruleset has been stolen from the Tokyo Motor Show in Japan. The vehicle was reportedly removed from a holding area behind the show floor by a group of unknown men during preparation for the event and Tokyo Police are investigating several lines of enquiry.
A spokesman for the Mercedes WTCM team stated "This was purely a show car produced for marketing purposes. Although it may have the appearance of a Super Touring car, there is little to be gleaned from this vehicle and our preparations for the upcoming season are unaffected."

Re: 1991 WTCM - Entries finalized!
Driver stats are now sent to everyone.
Regarding heats: The cars will be split into a factory teams heat and a privateers heat, where the top 12 from each race will qualify into the events. I've updated the first post with this information.
The 12/12 split might be changed in some circuits, but more on that later.

It's time for the first updates of the season to come. Remember, you can upgrade into debt, but you can't upgrade if you're in debt!
Some further notes:
Updates are applied automotically into the team's cars, and do not need to be rebuilt.
You cannot ask for testing and individual upgrade (overall, engine, downforce, reliability, weight) at the same time. So, if you go for testing this time by, you cannot buy an upgrade this time.
If you do go for individual upgrades, you can ask a maximum of three upgrades between each round.
Budgets and wiki have been updated.
You have until 20th July 2019 to post upgrade requests!

Finding it funny/upsetting that I sacked Stuck from Penske for doing something stupid in 1976 and in the fifteen ensuing years he's obviously not learned his lesson

Ouch, we will be nowhere this season.
Zakspeed will take one Downforce Upgrade and one Overall Upgrade.
The upgrades will be available for free for all the privateers owning Sierras. Since the RS Cossie and the Sapphire must share a lot of parts, I suppose the upgrades affect both versions ?

Vauxhall Sport will run two test days at Donington as well, a week after Mitsubishi. The driver for both these tests will be Jeff Allam.
