2018/19 Free Agency: Open season

Post by DemocalypseNow »

Free Agency is where drivers left without DEC holders (i.e. forum members to manage them) get a second chance to re-enter the racing system. If they are in the Free Agency list, you can apply for them within signing windows (current status: FREE AGENCY OPEN)

The RNG ranges of the bids will be affected by the following things; the quality of the offer (Is it with a top team? Is the team using proven equipment? Are they offering something that rivals can't?), the duration of the offer (Is it full time or part time? Will it be a multi-year deal with a top team offering job security?), the appropriateness of the offer (why would I want to do rallycross when I have 5 years junior experience? I want to be in top level open wheel!), and the level of detail in the offer (OK, you told me your name and what series you want, but you didn't tell me what kind of car I will be driving? I prefer to go with an offer where I know exactly what I'm getting into).

If you have a driver you no longer wish to manage, you can post here to enter him into the drafting system. Please mention all the series he has competed in during his canon career.

Re: 2018/19 Race of Rejects

Post by DemocalypseNow »

The next step is to determine which of last year's ROR alumni who failed to secure employment after 'graduation' will come back and give it another go. With lots of household names coming into the system this time around, those who were already on the fringes have even less reason to be enthusiastic about their chances.

ABDEL GENAZZI (ALG)
Former 3.5 driver who was starting to lose all hope. Then AutoReject announced an African Cup dedicated to promoting local talent, with half the seats on the grid set aside for those from the continent. Sights firmly set on a drive there to kick start his career again.
1-95 Wants to impress for an African Cup seat
96-100 Realises he's been out of the game for two long and gives it up.
25. Will going back home be the first step of a redemption story?

SERGE BLANCO (FRA)
Another second level driver who's been out for a fair while now. Has no national series to fall back on like Genazzi.
1-50 Sticks at it
51-100 Retires
98. Meh.

DOMINIC STRASS-CAHN (FRA)
Was apparently a touring car driver once.
1-10 Keeps up his feint hopes of ever going pro again
11-100 Rape scandal in a New York hotel on a business trip ends any hopes of a return to motorsport
18. Keep it in your pants next time.

ANDREI KOLODIN (RUS)
Former Lupo and 2.0 midfielder. With the 2.0 grid expanding, he holds some hope of a return.
1-66 Wants to impress scouts from 2.0
67-100 Thinks better of it and retires
65. Will go for one last throw of the dice.

ARTUR SMOLAREK (POL)
Was last seen as team-mate to Kolodin in Lupos. Was beaten pretty comprehensively by him. If Kolodin can't get a drive, what hope does Artur really have?
1-20 One more spin
21-100 Cashes out
85. Bust.

DAVID GRAHAM (GBR)
IFRC backmarker turned F3RWRS backmarker. Dropped by the Nebula junior programme over a year ago.
1-25 Thinks the stars will finally align for him
26-100 Slips into the junior series reject black hole
49. Burnt up on re-entry.

CLAUDE SPEED (USA)
Is probably quite miffed that his former team-mate Lance Vance got offers when he did not. Was really quite a handy driver over in the States.
1-80 Thinks he still has some talent worth peddling
81-100 Switches his nutritional pills for depression pills
86. Can't face another potential year of crushing disappointment.

ANDONI GARRIDO (ESP), OLIVIER GARDIN (FRA) & ROY MELLOWS (USA)
This trio of former Aeroracing GT drivers had to step down into the Independents category a couple of years ago, and now have no drive at all, their former team disappearing into the ether.
1-25 Hope they can flash the cash (of which they have more than talent) to get a privateer GT seat in future
26-100 Go back to regular day jobs.
Garrido 75, Gardin 35 & Mellows 93. They all pack it in.

CHARLES JERCHIO (USA)
Having taken another glance at his finances, he realises he can't afford to pay his way into drives these days.
Jericho will not compete in ROR as a driver, but will be available to sign as a historic driver for series set up to, and including, 2006.

ALEX GEINHART (USA)
The bottom rung of the ladder chews up and spits out drivers in a hurry. He's not driven in a year now. Drivers who get dropped mid-season tend never to return in 2.0. Either he looks for salvation in Supercopa or gives up.
1-20 Markets himself to Supercopa teams
21-100 Gets a real job
42. Would you like fries with that?

ARTHUR DANIELS (GBR) & JOHNNY BOUDERMANN (USA)
Obscure touring car drivers.
1-10 Another futile attempt to impress is made
11-100 Retire
Daniels 94 & Boudermann 69. Move along, nothing to see here.

GARRY JONES (AUS)
Was okay, albeit overshadowed by Adriana Gabor, in the Dacia ARST team. Thinks he could do a job in his local F5000 series given the chance, if touring car offers aren't forthcoming
1-75 One more time
76-100 Opens the first Dacia dealership in Australia
61. Dusts down his racing suit instead of selling Dusters.

TERRY STEIN (CAN)
Did not do particularly well in trucks.
1-10 Chases the dream
11-100 Returns to civilian life
77. End of the line.

CARLO WALADI (VAN)
Not even touring car aficionados have heard of this guy.
1-10 Competes just to get a glimpse of the greatest Pacific Islander to ever exist, Alik Mori
11-100 Can't justify spending that much when he could go as a spectator to autograph hunt
69. Will you sign my face?

WIM-BERT HORRIE (BEL)
Got a podium in F5000 once.
1-20 Please sir, can I have some more?
21-100 That'll do.
80. Retires.

SALVADOR DA SANTA MARIA (MEX)
Was utterly atrocious in 2.0. But Jimmy Hopkins was even worst, and he's still driving.
1-10 Hope
11-100 Reality
98. Salvador is a pragmatist.

SATOSHI FUKUZAWA (JPN), RHYS JACKSON (GBR) & DAN BUDD (GBR)
A trio of ex-F5000 midfielders.
1-15 Throw the dice
16-100 Throw another shrimp on the barbie
Fukuzawa 46, Jackson 34 & Budd 9. Dan appears to be an eternal optimist.

ERICK MURER (BRA)
There are lots of ex-rallycross drivers looking for a break in Group B RX, but Murer at least has a significantly better track record than the rest of his former rivals who are in the same boat.
1-75 High hopes
76-100 Crash landing
14. Litmanen, Malmstrom and Suzumiya managed it, so why can't he?

MICHAL SYROWATKA (POL), MARIJO KOVACEVIC (CRO), TOMAS ONDREJKA (SVK), NIKOLAY DJUROV (BUL), GRANT FOX (NZL), CHRIS BOWMAN (GBR) & RICHARD YOUNG (GBR)
More former rallycross drivers, but ones with less on their CV to brag about than Murer.
1-15 Joker lap
16-100 Eliminated
Syrowatka 24, Kovacevic 7, Ondrejka 14, Djurov 52, Fox 18, Bowman 17 & Young 33. Two of the Not-So-Magnificent Seven march on.

NIKLAS SVANBERG (DEN)
After trying to break through in single-seaters in Japan didn't work, his reinvention as a GT driver also failed. Not much left surely?
1-10 Errr...touring cars?
11-100 Give up
21. Bye.

JOHANNES RUECKERT (GER)
Once a highly regarded youngster in F2RWRS. What happened, man?
1-50 Looking to reinvent himself as a GT or S2000 driver
51-100 Too long out
80. German sensibilities implore Johannes to find a secure, well-paying desk job.

DAVID LEE (KOR) & VERONIKA ASIMOV (RUS)
Indy backmarkers who are irrelevant in an already crowded marketplace.
1-10 Seat? Money. Gib!
11-100 Seat? No money. Bye!
Lee 90, Asimov 13. Pockets empty.

RICHARD HERSHALL (GBR)
Who?
1-10 Red shirt before the first ad-break
11-100 Red shirt after the first ad-break
63. This program is sponsored by Alan Shoe Trader.

RUSTY GANNIT (USA)
Holds the record for shortest ARWS career (tied with Hans Einhrin, but Rusty got there first). Was surprisingly handy in his home nation, even winning a race! Might the name recognition get him somewhere?
1-75 Y'all gonna gimme a ride or what?
76-100 Dargn nabbit, y'all not paying attention to me.
67. Yeehaw, riding the bucking bronco one more time.

QUINTON VOS (USA)
Truck midfielder. Managed to beat David Bloom, at least.
1-20 Yes
21-100 No
95. Emphatic no.

ALEXANDER VON HEGEL (GBR) & CLIVIO DURAND (FRA)
Two former F1RGP2C lads.
1-15 More please
16-100 That'll do.
Von Hegel 21, Durand 65. Had enough.

JAN MAYLÄNDER
Jan was a meme once. Memes have a short shelf life.
1-25 Dead horse? Prepare for a beating.
26-100 Checks into rehab for the standard substance abuse problem all washed-up meme individuals suffer post-fame
87. Lifetime membership of Alcoholics Anonymous beckons.

And finally the list of returnees is finished. They'll be added to the list of participants shortly.

Astro Racing Stars will release the following drivers at the end of the season to join RoR. We have thanked them all for their services, but have decided not to extend their contracts any further.

Jules Vergne (FRA, 16/5/97) (F3RWRS, RoLFS, IFRC, F1RICS)
Herberto Dominguez (AND, 11/10/95) - (F3RWRS, IFRC, IL)
Cezary Samelko (POL, 31/1/96) (F3RWRS, F2RWRS, GT-R)
Jack Connolly (GBR, 11/11/98) (F1RDS, Lupo, GBRC)
Constantin Florescu (ROM, 14/12/1999) (SEAT)
Daisuke Yanagawa (JPN, 17/5/96) (F3RWRS, Lupo, SANDWICH)

Jari Lappalainen's DEC has been transferred to Normal32.

Looking at the spreadsheet, there's drivers like Dan Greenlaw in there who I assumed was already contracted to Voeckler for 2019? So the RoR would just decide who his DEC is, but they wouldn't be able to alter the pre-agreed contract (assuming there is one)?

Aside from that, this should be a very interesting RoR! ;)

Nobody in that list is under contract for next year, unless stated in the notes. Though just because a driver is listed here, doesn't mean his current team doesn't want to renew his deal! Merely that they cannot until they have a new DEC holder to renew with.

Unless they are banned some unspecified days before and after this?

I think we'll just go ahead and skip the track portion of ROR. It doesn't seem to have added much value in past iterations, and so I have my doubts about the value of running this portion of the system however.

So, with this, consider all drivers on the list available to hire. Given there'll be a flood of offers for them, I'll slap a fixed date of Mon 11 July @ 1200 BST / 1300 CET as a deadline for receiving offers.

Again, remember the RNG odds for your offers will be affected by their quality and specificity. Use the wiki to research driver histories and see what's likely to interest them.

Have at it!

My bids

Dan Greenlaw
Dan Greenlaw will continue to be a central pillar of Voeckler GPE's single seater strategy, with a two year contract extension for the works Voeckler-Renault team in ARWS on offer.

Aimee Gauthier
Voeckler GPE are looking to extend their deal with Ms Gauthier in her current role as an AR 3.5 driver into the 2019 season, alongside current team-mate Mineiro. She will have a place in the 2019 YDT for Voeckler-Renault F1, and also a place in the Renault Formula E team, assuming there is no clash with her primary duties in 3.5, and that Voeckler secure the works Renault team in FE.

Ryan McReynolds
Voeckler Talent Management are looking to sign McReynolds as a client, with the aim of finding him a top ride in IndyCar in the upcoming 2019 season.

Fotis Iordanou
Voeckler Talent Management are looking to take the young Greek driver under their wing, and find him permanent employment in either Formula 2 or AutoReject 3.5 for the 2019 season.

David Koczo
Nissan Motorsports offers Koczo a berth in their works Prototype Challenge LMP1 programme, who are the reigning champions of the series.

Denis van Walwijk
Trueba offers van Walwijk as a slot as one of their quartet of factory Maserati drivers, where he would be paired in their lead car alongside his current Ferrari co-pilot Lorenzo Crescenzi.

Jose Braggia
(Historic) Il Barone Rampante are looking to recruit Braggia as a young talent, to race in Italian F3, International F3000, and hopefully, create him a pathway to Formula 1 or other top flight motorsport in future.

I will bid for the following drivers:

To Gary Pacer, I offer a management deal. A deal with Lotto Racing is in place to race for them in ARWS in 2019 if he accepts the management deal.

To Aimée Gauthier I offer a contract to race for Ecurie Prenois in the 2019 AR 3.5 season. Additionally, she will participate in the 2019 ARWS young driver test for Kjellerup.

Finally, to Humbert Moyenmoutier I offer a contract for the position of crash test specialist, as well as a race seat for the 2019 24 Hours of LeMons.

Astro would like to make offers to...

Geoff Donnelly: an extension of his driver ambassador role with Victrix Racing. In historical terms, I will also endeavour to find him an F3000 seat should I find someone to take on the series for 1989.

Gregg Donnelly: to join the Astro ProtoStars young driver lineup. We will find Gregg an F3 or AR3.5 seat for next season.

My bids:

Lotto Racing will offer Pedro Poole and Helios Nicolau the chance of beeing their drivers during the 2019 Group B Rallycross season.

Lotto Racing also offer to Brendon Cassidy Sr a change to become the team's mentor in ARWS.

Lotto Racing offer Chad Brooks a chance to drive in AR2.0 in the 2019 season.

Lotto Racing offer Sandra Cessler a drive in the upcoming touring car championship, with one-offs under the SuperStar GBRC banner.

We will also offer Daisuke Yanagama a drive in SANDWICH 2019, and a test driver role in ARWS.

Lotto Racing will also offer the following drivers a chance of beeing part of the Lotto program in 2019:
Andrei Kolodin
Terenzio Nicchi
Ernesto Padilla

We offer management deals to Tamerlan Hasanov and Christian Poulsen as well.

I also offer Pierre Deschenes a chance to drive for a GBRC team (imagine what Tom Coronel does in WTCC - the organisation gets him a drive due to promoting the series).

We offer a management role to Pedro Renales, with a confirmed deal with Mediterranean Motorsport in touring car 2019.

Also, edit: If we don't get Gary Pacer to drive, Lotto Racing offer Jordan Davies a drive in ARWS 2019.

Melrose Racing Team would like to offer Gary Pacer the second MRT ARWS race seat for the 2019 and 2020 seasons alongside Alberto Cara. Should Pacer go with an alternate offer instead, we will make a bid for Jordan Davies for the 2019 season only for the same seat, but only if Pacer goes elsewhere.

Precision Motorsport would like to offer Franc Piscine a young driver management deal. This will involve driving for the MRT F2 team for 2019, as well as a test driver role for Precision Motorsport in F1 for 2019.

Alrighty! Let's make some bids.

Jones Racing Group would like to offer specific contracts to the following drivers:

EDIT: A few contract alterations made on 07/07/2016 to reflect developments.

Shane Walsh and Gary Pacer:
* A guaranteed drive alongside Nathanael Cameron for the duration of the 2019 ARWS season at the Jones team, with a review and option for 2020 at the end of the season.
* In the event that both want the drive, a test session will be held. The faster driver will take the ARWS drive, the slower driver will have three options. He will be made available to other ARWS teams to hire, he will have the option to drive for Jones in the FIA Prototype Challenge, or he will have the option to drive for Atlas in Formula E (pending successful entry bid).

Aimée Gauthier and Jordan Davies:
* A guaranteed drive at either the Jones AR3.5 team or Atlas Formula E team (pending successful entry bid) for 2019, with a view to promotion to an ARWS team in 2020. The driver has the freedom to choose which seat they'd prefer.

James Jones:
* Renewal of existing contract with the National young drivers program. A seat in either AR3.5, Formula 2, Formula E or the FIA Prototype Challenge will be sought, depending on circumstances.

Jean Vincent Albertini:
* A seat at the Jones entry into the FIA Prototype Challenge for 2019.

My bids

I offer Rusty Gannit a ride in an Indycar series should it be revived, getting number 1 status save for extrenous circumstances (like getting Lewis Hamilton or something :D)

I offer Jordan Davies another season of AR 3.5 with Blokkmonsta (or F2 if he wins in 2018) with a promotion to ARWS in 2020.

I also show interest in Carl Jordan for a drive in whatever series replaces IPC/ARST. He will take the place of whichever driver gets promoted to GTRWC.

Jean-Francois Deschênes would also be offered a drive in the GBRC.

I would also like to offer Jordan Davies and Jean-Vincent Albertini a place on the Formula E grid with National Academy, subject to gaining an entry.

[1988] Mercedes-Benz would like to offer Guillaume Gauthier a contract. He'll be encouraged to remain in F1 but he will be offered occasional works Mercedes drives in sportscars and WTCM, with potential for a driver academy administrator/team principal role in the future.

Scuderia Adriatica would like to offer Pedro Renales and Martin van der Maeyede a management deal aiming to find them a good drive in touring cars.

We would also like to offer Shane Walsh and Jean-Vincent Albertini the opportunity to race for Scuderia Adriatica in the FIA Prototype Challenge. In case both accept, one of them could get a contract for the Adriatica Formula E team, pending the confirmation of its entry.

Gillet Ecurie Nationale Belge would like to offer:

Shane Walsh a contract renewal for the 2019 ARWS season, in priority. Failing this, the same offer is extended to Jean-Vincent Albertini, then Gary Pacer.

Franc Piscine a drive in their Formula 2 team.

CWG will offer prospective contracts to the following drivers:

Ashley Cassidy will be guaranteed a drive at CWG for the 2019 Indycar season.
Dan Greenlaw will, likewise, be guaranteed at CWG for the 2019 Indycar season.

Historical offers:

Brendon Cassidy Sr. will continue to be actively marketed amongst teams participating in Revolutionary Era F1 until at least 1994.

Before it closes, I would like to offer James Davies (GBR) a slot in Formula E for the 2018-19 season. He would be on equal footing with his fellow driver.

I also would be interested in extending Sian Davies contract in WTCM for the next year at Welsh Racing. I would allow her to go to a works team if any of them are interested.

Right, while I await RNG range assistance on those drivers whom I have a stake in, I will process the RNGs for drivers that aren't either directly bid by me, or whose outcome could be affected by said drivers.

Firstly, there are some drivers who, given the current state of their respective series, will be frozen until later in the season, when there is clarification regarding their entry list. This means offers from the following drivers are still considered valid, and open to bids that can be lodged but not resolved, until further progress is made in their organisation:

Ryan McReynolds
Voeckler Management

Pedro Renales
Lotto Management (contract with MeMo TC)
Ziegler Auto Racing TC
Mediterranean Motorsport TC
Adriatica Management

Rusty Gannit
Unspecified IndyCar team

Carl Jordan
Unspecified TC team

Ashley Cassidy
Peak Driver Talent
CWG IndyCar

James Davies
Mediterranean Motorsport

And now, to the first set of RNGs....

Humbert Moyenmoutier
Former F3 nobody turned touring car stooge, the Frenchman is banned from racing in AutoReject. Nice work, genius. His options therefore boil down to being an official reserve for FIA F3, or a paid clown for Kjellerup.
1-90 Formula 3 Reserve
91-100 Kjellerup paid stooge
30. Will he get himself banned from Formula 3 too?

Wiremu Tamati
Tamati has just the one offer - ARWS with Rob Lomas Racing. This is quite a step up for a driver that has only F5000 and F3 under his belt. His results mean he wouldn't earn a rejectlicense and would need special dispensation. But who doesn't want a shot at the big league?
1-50 Signs for RLR in ARWS
51-100 Wants something at F2 or 3.5 to smooth out his learning curve a bit
77. He thinks better of going straight to ARWS, and is waiting for offers for either F2 or 3.5.

Geoff Donnelly
Only Victrix (formerly Fusion) offer him a deal. He ponders the contract handed to him by Victrix, analysing closely the claus.....hmmm, is that Greggs I can smell? Ooooh! Unlimited free steak bakes? Where do I sign?
No roll. He is unquestionably loyal to the team that gave him his break and single season in ARWS against the odds.

Gregg Donnelly
Unlike father Geoff, Gregg still has a fledgling single seater career to think about. However, he has been offered a permanent spot in the Astro ProtoStars programme, meaning, in theory, a seat in either F3 or 3.5. No other offers were tabled.
1-90 Signs as is
91-100 Wants to see a guaranteed named seat in one of the two categories before signing anything.
96. Gregg wants to make sure everything is set in stone before committing his future.

Pedro Poole & Helios Nicolau
Both have offers for Lotto's new GBRC team. The problem is Lotto haven't announced which manufacturer they'll be linking up with or buying machinery from. At the same time, they acknowledge this is the only offer on the table (for now at least), so will give it serious thought regardless.
1-50 Lotto GBRC
51-100 Waits for a more detailed offer
Poole 66, Nicolau 62. Both want to know what they're getting into before committing themselves.

Brendon Cassidy Sr.
One management offer from Commonwealth, and one mentorship offer from Lotto.
1-90 Commonwealth
91-100 Lotto
29. He hopes his top flight F1 career continues for a while yet.

Chad Brooks
Not a whole lot to think about. Lotto's 2.0 offer allows him to finally get a racing career off the ground, having started in CWS. A tiny part of him doubts he can make it in single seaters and wants to stick to closed wheel racing instead.
1-95 Lotto AR 2.0
96-100 Wants a closed wheel offer
75. Let the adventure begin.

Sandra Cessler
Cessler has a predicament. TC is her bread and butter, but the major series has gone to the wall and it's successor has yet to establish it's ruleset and tender for entries. She has offers from Lotto and Ziegler Auto Racing, two former IPC teams, but don't yet have certified entries to the proposed new TC series. This means she is considering an offer to join the Prototype Challenge for Valerian, which would still present a challenge and give her gainful employment in a major closed-roof series. But can she turn her back on touring cars for two whole years?
1-50 Picks the safe and steady option with Valerian
51-100 Can't face saying goodbye to touring cars and bides her time to see if any team that gets an entry requests her services later.
9. Maybe someday there will be a return to touring cars, but with IPC gone and its replacement uncertain, she goes down the safer route and takes the paid gig in prototypes.

Andrei Kolodin & Terenzio Nicchi
These two have been out of employment for a while now. Kolodin has almost called it quits once already. Nicchi wasn't particularly great in his F1RDS & F3 stints. They're on the fence about whether to keep plugging away at all, given their only offers are nondescript management offers from Lotto.
1-50 Accept Lotto's offer
51-100 Hang up that helmet
Kolodin 73, Nicchi 51. Kolodin's last throw of the dice hasn't panned out as he hoped. Nicchi thought long and hard, but has eventually accepted his career won't pan out as he may have hoped. We say goodbye to them both.

Ernesto Padilla
The young Bolivian was pretty good in AR 2.0 NA in his one season, coming 7th overall. He's been out of motorsport for a year now, so might he decide to keep it that way?
1-80 Returns to 2.0 with Lotto Racing
81-100 Is happy to stay away from motorsport
5. The burning desire for racing success is as strong as ever.

Tamerlan Hasanov
The Azerbaijani driver was a works driver for Porsche in GBRC last season. He got an utter hiding from his two more esteemed team-mates, who placed in the Top 6 overall while he finished 22nd overall. Still, "Porsche factory driver" has significant cachet on a CV, so a management deal with Lotto has a decent chance of finding him a new drive.
1-90 Lotto management
91-100 Goes home with his tail between his legs
96! Having failed miserably to extract meaningful performance from one of the best cars in the field, Hasanov decides enough is enough and retires.

Pierre Deschenes
For a long part of the GBRC season, he was a title contender, but fell away towards the end of the season. With Porsche now gone, he needs a new team. Four offers arrived. Peugeot and Mazda want them for their works teams, Lotto offered him a management deal, and finally a mysterious "GBRC works team", of an un-named manufacturer, also offered. Given he has two established marques chasing him, he elects to ignore the sketchy anonymous offer. He also looks very unfavourably upon Mazda's dire results in GBRC this season.
1-90 Peugeot
91-98 Lotto Management
99-100 Everest Mazda
4. Allons, enfants de la Patrie, Le jour de gloire est arrivé! Deschenes is overcome by the proposition of becoming a factory driver for a French marque.

Franc Piscine
The Swiss driver has two offers, both for Formula 2, which is a step up from his last employment in F3. The two teams chasing his signature are MRT, his old employer from F3, and Gillet. The MRT deal also gets him access to testing for the Precision F1 team. Or perhaps he'll be tempted by some tasty waffles and chocolate?
1-75 MRT + Precision
76-100 Gillet
100. Those must be some damn tasty waffles.

Daniel Polak/b]
The Czech rallycross driver has two offers. One is to stay put with Citroen's factory effort Leclerc, while the other is for the same mystery 'works' GBRC team that Deschenes found himself propositioned by. The Citroen didn't fare especially well, so Polak's curiosity is ever so slightly piqued.
1-90 Renews with Leclerc
91-99 Wants a firm, clear offer from this mystery works team before making a decision
100 Goes for the hail mary and signs with the mystery team
[b]61
. Polak is settled nicely at Leclerc and opts to stay on.

James Jones
The Brit has just the one offer, a management deal with his 2018 3.5 employer Jones Racing. It doesn't specify a particular drive or series though, which is a slight concern.
1-90 Happy to stay on with Jones, even if the particular seat isn't in place just yet
91-100 Wants specific assurances as to which drive he'll be offered before signing anything
80. Took a while to evaluate his position, but eventually put his faith in Jones to deliver.

Mohammed Siki & Abdel Genazzi
Two drivers who have been out in the cold for some time. Their careers looked dead and buried. Suddenly, a miracle. Each has an offer for the African Racing League. The miracle they have prayed for has finally arrived. They leap at the chance without any hesitation. Both accept their offers.

Paul Jenkins
Jenkins had been making overtures for several months already he wanted to switch from touring cars to GTs. An offer for it has arrived. Though it's a dive into the deep - might he have second thoughts and stick with touring cars, which have served him so well for many years now?
1-99 GT
100 Touring Cars
13. The switch he has craved for a while is now a reality.

Jean-Francois Deschenes
The brother of the more successful Pierre Deschenes is propositioned by the same entity that went after the newly-signed Peugeot driver. It's his only option, so he has to consider it.
1-80 Doesn't say no, but wants further details on what the offer entails before considering signing
81-100 Puts all his eggs in the mystery basket
14. He wants more specific details on what the offer entails before he would consider accepting it, but he doesn't outright decline it either.

Guillaume Gauthier
Gauthier has a single offer, from a new management firm on the block with strong ties to Mercedes. They assure him his F1 career is safe in their hands, whilst also throwing him a WTCM bone, with sporadic appearances for the works Mercedes touring car team in the offing.
1-90 Happy to sign with the newcomers
91-100 Wants to see if a more experienced firm will consider him
21. Gauthier takes the plunge.

Martyn Rietacher
The German former ARWS pilot has only one offer. Originally, it was to be for Formula E, but his suitor failed to gain entry to the series, and so they revert to the backup plan, a ride for Takagi Racing Enterprises in SANDWICH. Does he really fancy a trip across to the other side of the globe, to race for a team that is consistently terrible in everything? It would mean giving up on racing forever, though, and nobody wants to face that reality....
1-66 Goes for the long shot and hopes for career redemption on the other side of the world
67-100 Considers TRE to be the 'hospice' of racing careers, and just skips straight to the end bit.
46. Crosses his fingers for some decent in-flight entertainment - it's a long trip to Japan

Martin van der Mayede
MVDM is torn. He was looking forward to a promotion to IPC, third in Supercopa, and now that chance is gone. His only concrete offer is from Valerian, for Supercopa again. Which, as the current rules stand, he wouldn't be allowed to partake in next year. The alternative is to bide his time and see what happens with TC before proceeding and potentially considering the Adriatica offer.
1-75 Bides his time to see how the TC situation pans out
76-100 Bites the bullet and takes the Valerian Supercopa ride.
56. Will wait to see how the TC situation pans out before deciding anything.

James James Davies
The former F1 champion hasn't been up to a whole lot since saying goodbye to Formula 1. He has made his position clear - either he wants a frontrunner or nothing at all. Valerian have propositioned him for the Prototype Challenge, but they weren't frontrunners last season, and he fancies his chances of getting a top ride in IndyCar as well.
1-75 Valerian PC
76-100 Wait for top Indy offers
29. He heads to prototypes.

Laurent Gauthier
Former SARS frontrunner is offered a chance to go back to endurance racing with Valerian. French driver, French team, what's not to like?
1-98 Valerian PC
99-100 Retire
98. He was actually enjoying life away from motorsport - the family business - quite nicely, as it turns out, but eventually decides it's too good an opportunity to snub.

Constantin Florescu
The Romanian Supercopa driver will lose his drive at the end of the year. Valerian have come along and offered him a ride in their SEAT squad. Pretty much on point.
1-99 Valerian SEAT
100 Demands TC
49. Another year in Supercopa is secured.

Jack Connolly
Connolly has been on the fringes of motorsport for a while now, plugging away where he can. Entry level touring cars has not been kind to him, and attempted a career switch to Rallycross last season, with mixed results. He still holds some hope he can make the change of direction stick. His only offer though is as a reserve driver in Formula 3.
1-50 Wait for a GBRC offer
51-90 Formula 3 Reserve
91-100 Retire
63. Joins Moyenmoutier on the F3 bench.

Benjamin Kruse
Akin to Jack Connolly, but without the alternative career path that Connolly tried to forge in GBRC last season. Kruse can either sit on the F3 bench, or head home for a 'normal' career.
1-50 Formula 3 Reserve
51-100 Retire
26. Kruse is happy to pick up an FIA paycheck.

Erick Murer
The Brazilian has been on the sidelines for almost a year now. And yet, a miracle has occurred. Peugeot have offered him a factory ride in rallycross.
1-99 Peugeot GBRC
100 Retire
39. Like he had any reason to say no.

Next batch coming shortly!

The next batch of the first round of drivers....

GARY PACER
Possibly the most sought-after driver in the entire ROR field, he has no less than four offers to compete in ARWS this year. Heavy favourites are MRT, who are title protagonists this season and have long been at the forefront of the series in terms of competitiveness. Also vying for his signature is Lotto Racing, the rookies who have struck a technical partnership with Fusion, although his contract will be held by Kjellerup. Jones are also interested, as are backmarkers Gillet.
Pacer also received two offers to drive in 3.5 for another year, but given the time he has spent in lower formulae already, and his respective championship position, he won't consider entertaining either of the offers for him to race there.
1-50 MRT BMW
51-74 Lotto Racing (via Kjellerup)
75-95 Jones Racing
96-100 Gillet
84. Which much surprise, Gary Pacer completes a rookie line-up at Jones for 2019, alongside fellow AR 3.5 championship protagonist Nathanael Cameron.

JORDAN DAVIES
So next is yet another AR 3.5 front-runner, this time the Brit Jordan Davies. He has two offers to step up to the big game, one with title contenders MRT, the other with newcomers Lotto and their chassis that looks an awful lot like the current Fusion car. He also has 3.5 offers from Jones and Blokkmonsta, plus an FE offer from Jones and National Academy.
1-60 MRT ARWS
61-90 Lotto ARWS
91-94 Jones 3.5 or FE
95-98 Blokkmonsta 3.5 (ARWS in 2020)
99-100 National Academy FE
88. Davies becomes Lotto's first driver signed for their debut campaign.

SHANE WALSH
After Pacer picks up the Jones drive, the only AWRS seat left for Shane Walsh is his current team, Gillet. His other offers are to peddle his skills in PC, and possibly also FE, with either Adriatica or Jones.
1-80 Gillet ARWS
81-92 Adriatica PC + FE
93-100 Jones PC
36. He stays put for another year.

JEAN-VINCENT ALBERTINI
A tricky one this. His only ARWS offer, from Gillet, has now vanished. So he's left with a mixture of Prototye and Formula E offers. However, it's commonplace to partake in both, to ensure a full racing programme over the course of the year. The first question, before even picking teams, is what does he want to do?
1-60 Try to negotiate a deal with teams to allow for both PC and FE
61-85 Will aim for one of the PC offers
86-95 Wants to stick with FE only
96-100 Declines all, wants to wait for an ARWS or F1 offer
89. He shuns sportscars, aiming at FE instead.

Now that his choice has become clearer, his options are down to two. Adriatica originally wanted him for PC, with an FE option assuming they secured an entry - which they now have. National Academy have also had their entry ratified.
1-75 Takes the National Academy drive
76-100 Goes to Adriatica to negotiate the PC element of the proposed contract out before accepting
37. National Academy has its first driver.

DAN GREENLAW
RNG ranges by Miguel98 and Wizzie. RNG rolled by Wizzie.
The American driver has spent the last three seasons with the Voeckler establishment, since back in F2. He has been offered a renewal to stay at their ARWS outfit, though Peak Aeroracing have almost made a bold request for his services, despite their backmarker status. Interestingly, CWG have also attempted to sign him up for a planned foray into IndyCar next year.
1-79 Voeckler ARWS
80-98 CWG IndyCar
99-100 Peak Aeroracing ARWS
63. He thinks about a return to America someday, but has unfinished business in ARWS first.

AIMEE GAUTHIER
RNG ranges by Miguel98, kevinbotz and Wizzie. RNG rolled by Wizzie.
The Frenchwoman is highly sought after in the junior categories. Her current employer Voeckler wants to keep her on in their 3.5 team, but are also offering a seat with their Formula E team, plus a YDT test with Voeckler's ARWS squad. Fellow French team Ecurie Prenois are also interested, and have also chipped in with a YDT test for Kjellerup. A less stable offer from Jones is also in the offing.
1-49 Voeckler
51-80 Ecurie Prenois
81-100 Jones
68. One must assume she has her eyes on a Kjellerup ARWS drive further down the line....

FOTIS IORDANOU
RNG ranges by Miguel98 and kevinbotz. RNG rolled by Wizzie.
1-95 Voeckler Management
96-100 Wait
10. All aboard the Voeckler gravy train.

DAVID KOCZO
RNG ranges by Miguel98 and kevinbotz. RNG rolled by Wizzie.
1-93 Nissan Motorsports PC
94-100 Wait
41. Signs for the reigning LMP champions.

DENIS VAN WALWIJK
RNG ranges by Miguel98 and kevinbotz. RNG rolled by Wizzie.
1-90 Maserati GT
91-100 Wait
3. Jumps at the chance to continue his partnership with Crescenzi at a new team.

JOSE "ROIDS ROIDS ROIDS" BRAGGIA
1-98 IBR management
99-100 Wait
48. A great day for anabolic steroid peddlers all over Italy.

A belated RNG.

GREGG DONNELLY
Having declined Astro's offer based on the fact they had no guaranteed ride for him, they retabled their offer with a Status F3 contract to go with it this time around. Surely that'll convince him?

1-99 Accepts Astro management offer with its promise of a Status F3 ride
100 Doesn't think the offer is going to materialise

93. Still a bit of trepidation on his part, but the younger Donnelly is willing to accept the Status F3 offer as legit.

I would like to offer Hobson Tarantino the other Venturi AR3.5 seat in 2019.

Because Lotto Racing will not entering ARWS, but instead will be buying into Fusion, Jordan Davies' contract is considered null and void, and he will return to the ROR pool.

Because he accepted a Kjellerup management offer, he will be given a week (until 21/08) before any RNGs are run for him, to allow pi3141 to potentially sort out a replacement employment for him before another RNG is run.

While we're here, one RNG to do.

Hobson Tarantino
He has a single offer, to return to AR 3.5 with Venturi.

47. Another year in 3.5 beckons.
