British Racing Partnership officially enters the 1958 season, and will approach Stirling Moss as a driver straight away. We hope our chances of signing him will be improved by his family connection to the team.

O.S.C.A. confirms its participation in 1957.

We will build a new chassis, called the O.S.C.A. F158, for 1958. Most likely we will continue to use the O.S.C.A. 1557 engine. A final decision will be made when the new chassis/engine system is announced.

As always, state of the art O.S.C.A. equipment will be available to customers, the prices will be announced once the new design is completed.

John Brian Naylor's eponymous JBW team would be interested in entering a few races in 1958 with a customer chassis in preperation for entering its own design from 1959 onwards (although it is tempting to run JBWs this year, even if it's a little unrealistic)

Scuderia Guastalla was recently Bought out by a Canadian Engineering Firm, Known as Genesis Engineering, who have planned to enter the Formulae Sport with 1 vehicle for Watkins Glen,
Guastalla will still be it's own entity, but for races outside of Europe they will be filled by Genesis Engineering, the Team is still fully owned by Genesis however, due to the "Christmas Buyout" of the team.

I declare Scuderia Adriatica defunct (at least as a customer - I don't exclude a comeback of some sort as a budgetless privateer for the Italian GP at least, and for canon purposes the team hasn't gone bankrupt, but only limite). All existing assets will be sold to collectors.

Eventual plans for a new team will follow soon.

Having originally intended to give up Connaught due to my recent gruelling schedule, which has finally been relaxed giving me more time. A redecision has been taken that Connaught will close down as a manufacturer team. Connaught will remain their intention to race again, this time it will (most likely) start over as a new privateer team. Connaught Boss Ken McAllpine will buy the team out of his own expense and the team will be called itself Connaught-McAllpine LTD.

When the entries have been passed through, we would be continuing to maintain our relationship with OSCA in hopes of getting their cars in whatever way we can get for this season.

I have currently not decided who whether to give up the remaining budget to another team if I have been requiered to.

New development costs

The original announcement may have made it seem like I was completely revamping the entire system, but this won't happen for a while. Awaiting a major change in regulations, the RNG ranges have simply been tightened to simulate teams getting a better idea of what the best car is.

Chassis
Design cost/Building cost/Performance
5 000//1 250//0-3
10 000//2 500//0-4.5
15 000//3 750//1.5-6
20 000//5 000//3-7.5
25 000//6 250//4.5-9
30 000//7 500//6-10.5
35 000//8 750//7.5-12
40 000//10 000//9-13.5
45 000//11 250//10.5-15
50 000//12 500//12-16.5
55 000//13 750//13.5-18
60 000//15 000//15-19.5
65 000//16 250//16.5-21
70 000//17 500//18-22.5
75 000//18 750//19.5-24
80 000//20 000//21-25.5
85 000//21 250//22.5.5-27
90 000//22 500//24-28.5
95 000//23 750//25.5-30
100 000//25 000//27-30

Engines
5 000//1 250//0-1.5
10 000//2 500//0-4
15 000//3 750//0-6.5
20 000//5 000//2.5-9
25 000//6 250//5-11.5
30 000//7 500//7.5-14
35 000//8 750//10-16.5
40 000//10 000//12.5-19
45 000//11 250//15-21.5
50 000//12 500//17.5-24
55 000//13 750//20-24
60 000//15 000//22.5-24

I'm also going to trial a system to develop cars. If your chassis or engine is a year old or over, you can spend a lump sum of half the design cost at any point in the season (though only once per season), to increase the chassis or engine design performance by up to 2 points.

Go.

Hernandez will design a new chassis for 100 000, called the Hernandez 562.

Hernandez will make this chassis available to customers, under a 26 250 fee.

After the design is completed, the Cooper T41 will be put into auction.

O.S.C.A. will design a new chassis, called the F158, for 100,000. Also we will design a new engine for 60,000, the O.S.C.A. 1558, for 1958.

The new design will be available to everyone for 27,500 for the F158 and 17,500 for the 1558.

The O.S.C.A. works team will build five F158 chassis and five 1558 engines for its own use.

Existing F156A chassis will be available for 15,000 per car. Existing 1557 engines for 9,000 per unit. No new F156A or 1557 units will be built.

Julius Kubinsky will design a new car, the Kubinsky V for 60,000 and build one of them. It will be available to eastern bloc customers for 17,500. To be able to afford it, the JK Mono IV will be sold to a collector.
