Drivers must be at least 15 years of age by the start of the season (4 April 2020). Proof of age can be a wiki page, a link to the canon driver spreadsheet, DriverDB profile, even a vague reference in a news article if you can find nothing better.

Also, looking at the wiki page, we have 28 cars out of a maximum of 26, so I still need two more cars to be dropped.

You have about four days.

I specifically need responses from the following:

Biscione - Second Arden seat
Kevinbotz - Second Macmillan seat
Miguel98 - Both Calinetic seats
Peteroli34 - Both Hunter seats

If I get no responses, the two cars will be dropped from the above entries.

Young Brit Tom Popplewell (DOB 20/09/2004) would be interested in a drive from any of the teams, as he is keen to prove himself in cars after a karting career ravaged by accidents.

With no word received from the teams concerned, Arden will run Charles Rawstorne in its other car, while Macmillan and Calinetic are reduced to one car each. The Calinetic will be driven by Tom Popplewell (as tempting as it is to give Collin Daley a third season...).

This is all assuming there are no objections from the DEC holders concerned, of course. :)

Macmillan's hopes now lie solely in the shaky hands of a 30 year old American with no professional experience...This can only end well.

You can probably tell that this sub-forum's sinking on my list of priorities fast again...

Ok, here's how this cryptic "overhauled driver performance system" thing is going to work: You - the team managers - will choose an aspect of the drivers' performance for them to work on. Like last year, it's:

  • Race pace
  • Qualifying pace
  • Consistency

Unlike last year, you can choose one of these key performance aspects for a driver to focus on between every race and, depending on how well they perform, they can gain a small increase in whatever stat you choose. The rules for this are:

  • You can change the stats your drivers focus on as many times as you want between weekends.
  • You don't need to keep posting what stats your drivers focus on before every single weekend. If you don't post the stats your drivers should focus on before the next weekend, I will assume they are the same ones from the previous weekend.
  • The mid-season test will operate under the same conditions as above, only the stat boosts are potentially larger

And I think that's it. As always, anything that's unclear can be asked here or via PM (though preferably here in case someone else has the same question).

Also, because it's been a long time since the last "roll call" post, everybody has one week from this moment (July 9, 18:30 IST) to post their drivers' plans for the first race weekend. Anyone who fails to reply within that timeframe will see their teams handed over to the next person on the waiting list.

It's a shame, but with my reserve of disposable time due for a rather dramatic decline in the very immediate future, I'm afraid Macmillan will be withdrawing from Anglo-Irish F4 with immediate effect; that I failed to secure arrangements for Macmillan's second car in time was already a fairly blatant indicator of my overstretched capacity.

My sincerest apologies to BKGlover.

Siobhán de Bhailéara - Race Pace
EDIT: I wasn't aware rookies could enter the test (how does that even work) so here's a (potential) correction:
Patrik Moravec - Quali Pace

Simtek, do we post testing plans for DECs under contract at other teams, or is that handled by the team managers?

Team managers only. :)

This Could Be You wrote:I wasn't aware rookies could enter the test (how does that even work)

Although looking back, the wording does seem ambiguous, it does say

Unlike last year, you can choose one of these key performance aspects for a driver to focus on between every race

So, these aren't pre-season testing plans, they're the areas you want your drivers to focus on for the first race weekend, which can be changed between every race weekend as you desire.

Also, as we're down to 25 cars and GP2 doesn't like that number, one of the single-car teams (Viva, JCR, Falcon, FXS or Calinetic) will be allowed to enter a second driver, as long as they're willing to run a 30-year-old American with no professional experience. :D

...or not, it's up to you.

Autosport.com wrote:North Star Rising Stars announces new signing ready for F4

Lead Developmental Manager Sam Svendson announced today a new signing for the North Star Rising Stars, from their home base of Reading.

"Today, I stand with Jack Clark. I've seen Clark develop from a young age, and today is the day he finally signs for the Rising Stars, to help this talent from our home base to grow."

He brings with him sponsorship money from British retail store B&M Retail.

"With that, we now are trying to find a seat for Jack Clark with our contacts specifically in the 2020 Anglo-Irish F4 series. Clark is ready and we know he will blossom with the right support."

Yeah, after hearing the news that Simtek needs another team to take a second car, I thought I should offer my driver for the seat. Any offer is welcome.

He said he needs to hear seven people more than there are on the waiting list. So he didn't mean about us in the waiting list.

The following teams have been re-assigned:

VA Racing Academy - Bandon23
West Racing Formula - Pilot8
Viva Automobile - CarloSpace
Falcon Motorsport - Gertrand Bachot
Calinetic Junior Squad - Dexter249

I've also decided to just give the 26th car to Viva. So, as before, the five of you need to finish your predecessors' jobs (here are the lineups in case you need them) by doing the following:

Simtek wrote:Ok, here's how this cryptic "overhauled driver performance system" thing is going to work: You - the team managers - will choose an aspect of the drivers' performance for them to work on. Like last year, it's:

  • The mid-season test will operate under the same conditions as above, only the stat boosts are potentially larger

As before, you have one week to respond (July 17th, 18:00 IST). Anyone who doesn't respond will see their team taken over by... me! And then finally we'll get the season going.
