Does this mean that you could potentially be entered into Stage 3 if you are on the Reserve List if you find somebody willing to tranfer their cars to you?

Also, do you need to have drivers lined up from the get go when you apply? Or could you search for them after you apply?

Regarding your first inquiry: that is correct. Stage 5 is there if users in the reserve list get in through the prior two stages more or less.

For your second inquiry, I will need initial lineups finalized for when the deadline for driver ratings comes around after the entry process is completed. A car with no drivers during the entry process is fine.

Is there a Sponsors segment to come between applications and the start of races? When we're putting the livery in the applications, should we take into account sponsors we would like?

Nope! Just put whatever sponsors you want within reason for your livery idea or if you're doing it yourself.

GT Super Series 2020 - Stage 2 Entries

Post by RealRacingRoots »

There has been an addendum regarding the the entry limit for part-time cars. Part-Time entries will now be able to enter the Karjala Grand Prix without it counting towards to their maximum of four race entry count, across two continents.

Link to the Car Allotment Data can be found here when you click on the 2020 season tab, the link also includes how many for each individual car is available.

Stage 2 of the Car Allotment System is all about returning independent teams that have programs that aren't changing for the upcoming season. This is when you guys can start to enter first come, first served basis provided you are qualified to do so. If you are running the exact same team and cars or downsizing to one car, this is where you will be entering. Or users who are directly changing the team running the operation, but still using the same cars they had last year can enter here as well, as well as running two separate one-car operations that use the same car you had last year, provided you were a two car operation last year. Here are the Teams and Users that can enter Via Step 2:

(In order of first Car Number from 2019)

Team Falken Tire - Autonomous - One Aston Martin DBR9
Boutsen Ginion - Normal32 - Two Chevrolet Corvette C6.Rs
VA Racing - TomDilain - One Maserati MC12 GTM Evo
Best In The World Motorsport - Klon - Two Lamborghini Murciealago R-GT
Winton Racing - Pasta_Maldonado (but has run Autonomously) - Two Lister Storm GT
Gerald Pereria-Pan Asia Alliance - WaffleCat (but has run Autonomously) - Two Lister Storm GT
Westside Racing - Pinkd56 - One Maserati MC12 GTM Evo
Oliver Motorsport - Peteroli34 - One Lamborghini Murciealago R-GT
Globex Scorpio Racing - Autonomous (with blessing from Salamander) - One Chevrolet Corvette C5-R
RMR Motorsport - Autonomous - One Maserati MC12 GTM Evo
Oran Motorsports Industries - SeedStriker - One Saleen S7-R
Équipe Fantomette by Euromotor International - FantometteBR - Two Lister Storm GT
Tom Douglas Racing - Wizzie - Two Saleen S7-R
Team LKM - Autonomous - One Lamborghini Murciealago R-GT
People's Republic Racing - Dexter 249 - Two Ferrari 575 GTC
Czechmate Motorsport - Reject_Dom - One Full-Time Ferrari 550 Maranello

Everyone listed above has until February 1st, 2020 at 1020 hours pst to post their plans if they are to enter via this portion of the entry process. The entry form and tire availability is available on the Car Allotment System Details post on the first page. You can still apply to be the factory Pirelli or Dunlop teams. If you want to make this go by quicker, say you plan to do something else instead of prolonging this process out longer than it needs to go. A link to the templates, as well as the required number box and font for it are found here.

If any of the teams wish to use the additional Corvette C6.R that will be made available after Monza please state such in your entry. As well as make sure your car remains homologted throughout the season.

Additionally, all part-time entries that intend to continue being part-time with the same car as before can enter now. Otherwise they will need to wait to step up from part-time to full-time, or wait until the end to enter part-time if they wish to change cars. Here is the list of Part-Time Entries from last year that can re-enter Part-Time:

(In order of Car Number from 2019)

Aoi Formula Group - Normal32 - Lamborghini Murciealago R-GT
GB Racing - GertrandBachot - Ferrari 575 GTC
Czechmate Motorsport - Reject_Dom - Ferrari 550 Maranello
Tsuchigami no Kyojin - RacingHeart - Saleen S7-R
Antegra Ayari Autosport - Autonomous - Saleen S7-R
Toshio Race Team - Autonomous - Ferrari 575 GTC
Team Astana Motors - Autonomous - Ferrari 575 GTC
Minarae - Wizzie (with blessing from Aerond) - Ferrari 550 Maranello
Lynxe Development International - Autonomous - Chevrolet Corvette C5-R
Jameson Brothers Racing - Autonomous - Saleen S7-R

They too can enter with the same form, just with the additional note of which rounds they intend to enter; with it being a maximum of four races across two continents plus Karjala and Baku. They cannot apply for factory status for tires (duh). These part-timers can re-up their plans at any time as long as they're using the same car as before, before it opens up for everybody else.

So uhh... have at it?

We at Best In The World were despondent to learn of the fatal helicopter accident that cost the life of basketball legend Kobe Bryant and eight other people. Our sincerest condolences go out to the Bryant family and the NBA community in general and the Los Angeles Lakers in particular.

Our British factory, responsible for our entry in the Rolex GT Super Series, has decided to dedicate our 2020 challenger to the legend of a man who embodied the spirit of Best In The World like few in professional sports have. One Final Season for Gerald Pereria

GP Racing has announced they will return to the GT Super Series, stating that 2020 will be their swansong in the series.

GP Racing, having run under the Gerald Pereria-Pan Asia Alliance banner, was one of the GT Super Series founding teams and has stood as the factory Lister outfit since that opening season in 2016. With Lister winding down support in the series before the Storm GT's homologation expires at the end of the year, it left the Gerald Pereria-owned operation at a crossroads going into the future. Although in the eyes of the American that has owned his team for now twenty years, it was an easy decision to make.

"It's just the right time to call it a day," stated Pereria in a press release, "I can't ask for a much cleaner break out of the series I've spent the last five years of my life. I've enjoyed every minute of it, it's just time for a new challenge."

The team's beginnings go back to the Prost GP Series in the early 2000s, before transitioning to becoming an IMSA mainstay within the GT ranks, which ultimately led to the outfit securing the Factory Lister contract for 2016. The team's high point in the series came the year after where the pairing of Fabian Rei and Ryota Wong finished second in the Driver's Championship, in the first year that Pereria stepped back from driving duties to focus on team management.

Pereria will be returning behind the wheel for the 2020 Season, with GP Racing scaling down to a one car entry for their last foray in the GT Super Series. Driving alongside him will be long time teammate and friend Shane Sparks, the pair having raced together since the Prost GP Series.

Tsuchigami no Kyojin expands international presence

Following their part-time performances in 2018 and 2019, Tsuchigami no Kyojin will be expanding their part-time GT Super Series attendance to three events. With international interest in the Osaka-based brand slowly growing, they will be using the rounds of the USA (Indianapolis) and Thailand (Chang) as opportunities to measure commercial interests abroad. Their driver squad, Meiling Huang and Shouta Sakai, will retain their seats from 2019, and the team's car and tire selections also remain unchanged from seasons prior. Also consistent with last year is the Tsuchigami team's continual support for their home race in Japan, which rounds out their commitments for 2020.

Team Name (Nationality): Tsuchigami no Kyojin
Car: Saleen S7-R
Tires: Michelin
Car 18 Drivers: Meiling Huang (Chinese) - Shouta Sakai (Japanese)
Livery: Unchanged from last year

Part time entry for USA, Thailand, and Japan. We'll go to Baku if eligible/allowed, but skip Karjala as this race wouldn't be in-character for them to attend (right now).

Two more entries before we get going with Stage 3. These are from user-controlled teams except the user who ran them hasn't been around in a hot minute. It's one of those by-products of the reduced capacity that the ASMF has rn, I don't want teams just to disappear into the aether much like happened way too often in years gone by. I asked about if people oppose their entry on the GPR Discord and there weren't any real opposition to it. They'll be run autonomously until the team has run it's course in the series.

Team Name (Nationality): Boutsen Ginion (Belgian)
Car: Chevrolet Corvette C6.R
Tires: Pirelli
Car 15 Drivers: Melanie Bourne (Australian) - Marie Alberta Luisa (Swiss)

Team Name (Nationality): Équipe Fantomette by Euromotor International (German)
Car: Lister Storm GT
Tires: (Please say if you are a Pirelli/Dunlop runner and you want to apply to be their factory team)
Car 44 Drivers: Helena Bertinelli (American) - Alexandre Charpantier (French)
Car 45 Drivers: TBA - TBA

Car Allotment System Stage 3

Post by RealRacingRoots »

Link to the Car Allotment Data can be found here when you click on the 2020 season tab, the link also includes how many for each individual car is available.

With Stage 2 continuing on, Stage 3 of the Car Allotment System is about returning full-time users/teams that are changing up what they're doing for 2020. If you're running with the same team as last year and either moving from one car to two, or changing cars entirely from the start of the year this is where you will enter. If you also want to change which team runs the cars, or have two separate one-car teams that each run a different car you can do that as well. The last thing that can happen here is that a team entering via Stage 3 can "sell" their cars to another user, that user would then enter during Stage 3 with that car while the seller re-enters with their new cars with the same team as 2019. Here are the remaining full-time teams that can enter Via Step 3 (or still Step 2):

(In order of first Car Number from 2019)

VA Racing - TomDilain - One Maserati MC12 GTM Evo
Winton Racing - Pasta_Maldonado (but has run Autonomously) - Two Lister Storm GT
Westside Racing - Pinkd56 - One Maserati MC12 GTM Evo
Oliver Motorsport - Peteroli34 - One Lamborghini Murciealago R-GT
Oran Motorsports Industries - SeedStriker - One Saleen S7-R
People's Republic Racing - Dexter 249 - Two Ferrari 575 GTC
Czechmate Motorsport - Reject_Dom - One Full-Time Ferrari 550 Maranello

Everyone listed above has until February 10th, 2020 at 1200 hours pst to post their plans if they are to enter via this portion of the entry process. The entry form and tire availability is available on the Car Allotment System Details post on the first page. You can still apply to be the factory Pirelli or Dunlop teams. If you intend to "sell" your car(s) to another user, do verify the transaction as a part of your entry.

If you do not enter now, and don't have a part-time team, you will be waiting until Stage 6 to enter. Right now, we are on 24 of a maximum 36 full-time entries.

Car Allotment System Stage 4

Post by RealRacingRoots »

Link to the Car Allotment Data can be found here when you click on the 2020 season tab, the link also includes how many for each individual car is available.

Those full-timers from 2019 that didn't enter via Stage 2 or 3 will now have to wait until Stage 6 to re-enter.

This is Stage 4 of the Car Allotment System. This stage is all about part-time competitors that are moving up to full-time with the team they ran part-time with. They can step with with the car they had last year, or something else assuming there are cars still available. They can also enter with one or two cars depending on what they want to do. If the user already has two full-time entries they cannot move up their part-time outfit to full-time. Here are the list of teams that can enter via Stage 4:

(In Order of 2019 Car Number)

Aoi Formula Group - Normal32 - Lamborghini Murciealago R-GT
GB Racing - GertrandBachot - Ferrari 575 GTC
Czechmate Motorsport - Reject_Dom - Ferrari 550 Maranello (Already moved up to full-time)
Tsuchigami no Kyojin - RacingHeart - Saleen S7-R (returning part-time)
Antegra Ayari Autosport - Autonomous - Saleen S7-R
Tosio Race Team - Autonomous - Ferrari 575 GTC
Team Astana Motors - Autonomous - Ferrari 575 GTC
Minarae - Wizzie/Aerond - Ferrari 550 Maranello (Cannot enter full time unless it is run by Aerond)
Lynxe Development International - Autonomous - Chevrolet Corvette C5-R
Jameson Brothers Racing - Autonomous - Saleen S7-R

Since it's really only gonna dependent on if Gertrand wants to step up, deadline will be February 14th, at 1200 hours pst just so we can get this moving along. We are currently on 28 full-time entries, 8 away from the entry limit.

Car Allotment System Stage 5 (Reserve List)

Post by RealRacingRoots »

Link to the Car Allotment Data can be found here when you click on the 2020 season tab, the link also includes how many for each individual car is available.

We remain on 28 Full-Time entries with GB not entering in Stage 4. Reminder that there is a car guaranteed to enter via Stage 6 in Ferdinand United, and that there are a maximum of 36 full time entries.

This is Stage 5 of the Car Allotment System, which is about users on the Reserve List getting their chance to enter full-time, assuming they haven't done so in the previous stages. They can enter whatever team they choose from their portfolio, be it a brand new IP or otherwise. They can be a two car operation as well if you do so choose. People who are higher up on the list will receive priority on their entry, so if we hit the Full-Time Entry List Cap in this step, only the highest however many users will enter, but if we don't hit the cap and only a few people enter come the deadline they all will get to race. Here is the reserve list and when they joined it:

CaptainGetz12 - Was not granted a entry in 2016, therefore at the top of the list.
go_Rubens - 6 Feb, 2014 at 18:50
SuperAguri - 6 Feb, 2014 at 20:10
HawkAussie - 6 Feb, 2014 at 21:01
Hermann95 - 25 Aug, 2014 at 11:05
V8Fan12 - 28 Oct 2016, 13:17
Gertrand Bachot - 30 Dec 2017, 14:11
John Rafael - 17 Dec 2019, 17:44
AcesCalifornia - 27 Dec 2019, 13:47
Kinnikuniverse - 02 Jan 2020, 16:30

Everyone listed above has until February 21st, 2020 at 1200 hours pst to post their plans if they are to enter via this portion of the entry process. All the information required for your entry is on the first page. There are a few people on the list who haven't been around for a whiles, so even if yer at the bottom of the list you're more than likely to get an entry. If you ask to be added onto the reserve list after this post you'll either have to wait until Stage 6 to enter or wait until next season to enter full time.

I will need different car numbers for your entries. 1 is reserved for the driver's champion, and in this case is being used as 01, and 2 is being used by Ravenwest Motorsport.

Livery Idea: Mostly black, but with a oval of dark grey with a red outline stretching from the front wheel well to just before the rear wheel well. The first sponsor, UK telecoms company TalkTalk, is prominent at the center of this oval in white. The Motul sponsor that comes with Sylvain Fabron is located spanning the back wing and again on the hood at a larger size, the hood and wing is in red, with Motul in white.

Car Allotment System - Stage 6 (Last Call!)

Post by RealRacingRoots »

Link to the Car Allotment Data can be found here when you click on the 2020 season tab, the link also includes how many for each individual car is available.

We are at 31 of a maximum of 36 Full-Time entries.

And just like that, it's time for Stage 6 of the Car Allottment System. It's the Last Call, meaning that anybody can enter full-time in the series. That is, of course, assuming that the user hasn't already hit the limit of two full-time cars in the series (with exceptions being potentially listened too of course). As a reminder a user can enter two wholly separate one car entries or a two car outfit. So go to town for those last five four spots and have fun kiddos.

At the same time, entries for Part-Timers have opened up beyond those that were continuing the same program as last season. Anybody can enter an additional part-time car alongside their full-time program, assuming that it isn't the third car from a two car full-time outfit or they already have a part-time car entered. Part-Time entries have a rolling deadline where the entry has to be locked in the round before their first appearance, meaning that if someone has Brazil (or the Yas Supercar Festival) as their first round you'll be on the same entry deadlines as the Full-Timers when driver ratings come around.

For the people who want to go full-time, they have until March 1st, 2020 at 1200 hours pst to get those last entries in. All the information required for your entry is on the first page. If you forgot to enter earlier in the process but still want to be full-time, this is your chance to get in on the action!

Ferdinand United's Lineup is Complete as Feldhoffer joins Cardel

Austrian DTM-outfit Ferdinand United Grand Prix has completed their lineup ahead of their debut in the GT Super Series.

After confirming their current DTM driver Darren Cardel would join their expansion to the GTSS when they were announced as launch customers for the new Mercedes-AMG SLR GTM, Ferdinand United confirmed that former Euromotor International driver Patrick Feldhoffer will be joining the team. The Zwickau native, when paired with Helena Bertinelli, scored an average of 48 points in the Independent's Trophy in his two seasons in the GTSS, and had one class victory at the 2019 Round of Germany.

"To say that he (Feldhoffer) and Helena (Bertinelli) were the highlights of a troubled squad would be putting it lightly," Ferdinand United team principal Lucien Ferdinand stated in the team's press release, "you saw how much they out-performed the situation they had to deal with and it was a easy decision to bring one of them on-board."

Euromotor International, entered as Equipe Fantomette by Euromotor International, has been through major financial strife ever since the outfit expanded into both the AutoReject World Series and the GT Super Series, with major question marks over the team's future looming before the 2020 season.

"It's just a shame we can't bring them both in at the moment, but we are more than thrilled to have Patrick join Darren Cardel in out SLR GTM."

Darren Cardel returns to the GT Super Series after driving with Racing Team Solvalou in the series's inaugural year in 2016. He then signed on as a factory Triumph driver in AutoReject Super Touring for 2017 and 18. He scored two wins and six top fives en route to fifth in the championship in 2017, before Triumph's support and performance waned heavily in 2018. He then joined Ferdinand United's DTM program in 2019 after Triumph pulled the plug on their ARST program, where he won two races and finished fifth in the championship.

Ferdinand United return to international racing for the first time since running Team Austria in the AutoReject Nations Cup, and continues their partnership with Mercedes-Benz after running their cars in the DTM and the ADAC GT Masters.

Your part-time appearances contravene the entry rules as you are going to a third continent in your non-special event rounds.

I'm assuming there's still space for a full-time entry, if not, the part-time appearances should be: Brazil, Great Britain, Italy and Belgium

With the PowerSport-Dunbarton entry (which will be on Dunlops), we are at 33 of a maximum 36 full-time entries with the deadline for full-timers a day and a half away. Part-Time entries can continue to trickle in beyond that deadline. And to be clear Aces, you are moving up from Part to Full time with Minster?

Oh apologies, didn't know I needed to confirm, thought my intentions were clear. Yes I'd like to move to Full Time with Minster. I'll make the amendments to my original post as well to reflect it as well.

GTSS Driver Ratings Info

Post by RealRacingRoots »

It's time for you guys to start sending in Driver Ratings!

Please send them my way either via Private Message, the forum's E-Mail function or you can send me a PM via the GPR Discord. You only need to send in the ratings if it's the drivers first time participating in GTSS come the Pre-Season Test at the Sakhir Circuit, or the round before their debut if they are doing a partial schedule or are in a part-time ride.

Drivers that have already raced in the series and therefore already have Stats to their name can be found at the Driver Classification Master List at the link below. If you have any questions about a particular driver in terms of their rating or otherwise, don't be afraid to ask about it.

Link to Classification Master List (Start of 2020 Tab):
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1A0E8X4SnCAp1foizgXG0gr3u6whJ8ipl9l7UKrVAl7c/edit?usp=sharing

The ratings that you are submitting for each driver are locked in throughout their run in the series, with the only thing that changes is the Cornering Add/Mult values in the talent files which changes as the driver changes driver ranking. Cornering Add/Mult affect outright pace, while the ratings you're sending in affect the driver's basic capabilities. You will also be able to choose how aggressive the driver is. Here is what you will send in:

Driver Name (Ranking):
Race Ability (Dry): 1.000 - 5.000
Rain Ability: 1.000 - 5.000
Qualifying Ability: 1.000 - 5.000
Average of three stats above: (Has to be higher than 2.125)
Track Aggression: 0.5-1.25

For the first three stats, the lower the value the better they will be; with a higher value in track aggression making them more aggressive. You can go to the thousandths decimal point on the first three values in case you want to specialize a driver's stats to the extreme. The Minimum Requirement for the first three stats is in place so you can show a drivers strengths and weaknesses: Some could be all-rounders, others could be garbage in Qualifying but really good in the race, or for those who are just terrible all-round you can just give them bad stats across the board. It is entirely your call. Major penalties will be handed down if the Average is below 2.125.

Driver Ranking affect the driver's Cornering Add/Mult stat when they get promoted or demoted. Cornering Add/Mult are RNGd when the driver's ratings are sent in, with potential for the stat to be rolled in ranges that are for the Rankings beside what they are actively ranked as. The ranking system itself is basically the same system that's used by the ACO in real life and here in the various other endurance series. How your driver performs in series and in what series dictates their Classification. Here's the basic rundown.

Bronze: New drivers to the ASMF with little racing experience, inside a ASMF-run series or otherwise. Gentleman drivers who have this be their hobby also fall into this category if they aren't on the pace of some of their compatriots who do this for a living.

Silver: New drivers to the ASMF with a full CV outside of ASMF-run series will show up here. Most drivers who are rising through the ranks or racing at all in the various ladders will show up here, with drivers showing well above average pace being considered for Gold Ranking. Gentleman drivers who are on the pace will be ranked here, as well as older drivers who are in the twilight of their careers. If you don't know what your driver's ranking is, assume they are Silver Ranked unless they're hot stuff and been so for a while.

Gold: Drivers who have proven over the span of multiple seasons to be quick behind the wheel and are racing in middle to top tiered series. Most of the higher ranked drivers racing in the second highest rung of some ladders (AR 3.5, Formula 2, etc) will be classified as Gold. Drivers who have raced in at least one AutoReject World Series or Formula 1 race will be automatically classified as a Gold ranked driver, unless other circumstances say otherwise (age, relative pace, etc). Championship winning drivers who make the jump to GTSS as a part of their progression after winning the championship will be given Gold rank as well. This applies to Formula 3, Formula 5000, among other series. This has to be earned.

Platinum: Be the best in the world at everything you do. Look for these guys in F1, ARWS, GTSS and in factory Prototypes. Others will be elsewhere, dominating the lower ranked series. Once again, this has to be earned.

If you aren't being honest with your driver's ranking or you just don't know, I will rank them for you. If you want me to do their full stats, let me know with a general guideline of how they do on track.

Everyone running full-time has until March 22nd at 1200 PST to finalize their driver pairings and get their ratings in. If you need extra time to get stuff finalized because of users being away or because you are busy yourself, please say so and extensions will be granted depending on the time-frame involved. There is no excuse.

If you are running a driver that you do not own, you must contact them to confirm their driver's ratings. It is ultimately their driver and their call how they perform. If they want to send in their driver's rating by themselves, they can as well. If you put in ratings for a driver you do not own without the blessing of the DEC Owner, consequences will be severe. If you are having issues getting drivers from other users, and you do not want have to make fresh drivers just for GTSS, there are some drivers that have "Claimable DEC" tagged as a note in the driver list. They were made for this kind of circumstance. As soon as you hire one up, they are yours to keep; you are their new DEC Owner. They will get a small boost permanently to their Cornering Add/Mult to make them a bit more competitive. Take only as you need.

If you got any questions, don't be afraid to ask, got it? Have at it boys!

So I'm a tad bit confused. For Sylvain Fabron, I'm gonna contact Nuppiz for their ratings on Fabron. But for T. Beverly, do I do ratings for him, or is it okay since he was a Claimable DEC?
