Sources inside FISA have indicated to this publication that the governing body is willing to relent on introducing a ban on sliding skirts for 1980, if a raft of other measures is accepted by the Formula One Constructor's Association.

The measures, which reportedly include a commitment to enter all championship Grands Prix and the introduction of a super-licence scheme, could be put to teams as early as a summit meeting currently scheduled for the 26th June in Rome, 2 days after the San Marino Grand Prix.

Team Ensign has been nowhere this season, fighting with the likes of Lola and Interscope in prequalifying.

Sources have yet to say if Samson Shag paid Mo Nunn extra for the end statement.

"In reality, someone needs to step up and tell Balestre and FISA to **** off. They are ruining the sport. I personally know the great owners over at Arrows North Star, especially Sir Blake Clayton, who saved the team this offseason. FISA's treatment of another proud British team shows that they have no class, and Bernie needs to take a stand. Don't let them take the grid at San Marino."

There is absolutely no reason to believe Arrows are committed to the goals of the FOCA and would not abandon our cause when/if Mr. Balestre changes his mind. If anything, an inclusion of Arrows into FOCA would have us reconsider whether we and Mr. Ecclestone truly are on the same page.

Tyrrell have reached a deal with Ensign, which sees Tyrrell paying 30k up front for Ronnie Peterson's services for the upcoming two races. In case Peterson gets injured in either of these races, we will add an extra 25k as insurance.

Dilemma 1 - What to do with Arrows?

Link in case table does not work properly for you.

As a result, Arrows will leave FISA with immediate effect and become a member of FOCA.

Ramifications:
Arrows are ineligible for Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, or Renault engine supply for an indeterminate period of time.
Arrows are ineligible for Michelin tyre supply indefinitely
Arrows reputation is now set to 0.
Alfa Romeo voluntarily contribute £25,000 to FISA.

The following decision has been made:

Decision: No further action. Review of the available footage and witness testimony revealed that the manoeuvre was not completed until waved green flags could be clearly seen. No further action.

Motorsport Magazine wrote:Dywa excluded from San Marino Grand Prix

As the teams arrived at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, all appeared by the book. For one team, however, the weekend would end rather quicker than they had expected.

The scarlet red Dywa cars were denied entry at the gate, much to everybody's surprise. The official reason given by the race organisers was that the team had not paid their fees and thus were denied entry. However, some in the paddock are convinced the truth is something far more sinister....

...oil stain obscuring story

Many in the Formula One paddock, including the author, are now hoping the politics can be left to one side to focus on the racing.

Dilemma 2: Loophole.

A printing mistake has meant that the Mandatory Driver Safety Briefing has not been printed on the official event schedule. Bernie, ever the opportunist, smells a chance to keep the balance of power firmly on FOCA's side.

FOCA teams can support Bernie and skip the driver briefing. As a result, they will get discounted travel fees for 1980. Additionally, if enough teams boycott, prize money will be increased for 1980. FOCA teams can also choose to oppose Bernie and attend the driver briefings anyway.

FISA teams will attend the driver briefings.

Also, Enzo Ferrari is said to be throwing things all over Maranello and remains convinced that Alan Jones most definitely did begin his move on Rosberg under waved yellows. He will not, however, be appealing this decision because he badly needs to avoid any extra paperwork or negotiating after those summit talks came through.

Tyrrell will support Bernie as the lower travel fees would mean good things for them with regards to spending resources towards their new car. Tyrrell - Option A

Meanwhile, Arturo Merzario doesn't give a damn about some random British businessman and knowing he will leave F1 at the end of the season anyway, he may as well oppose him. Merzario - Option B
