The place for current RWRS universe and "canon" historical series
by Gertrand Bachot 12 Aug 2021, 00:21
Same as last season although expanded to include a little more user involvement (as requested).

The Cars

The chassis will be mostly the same as they were in the real life season, with slight performance adjustments based on the previous performance of a team the season before, and to fit the narrative of the period. However I'll be giving team owners the option to choose engine supply for the season (with some exceptions for narrative purposes).

The Drivers

Before the start of each season, you are free to offer contracts for two driver slots. Unlike in previous seasons, you won't have any objectives to meet, although some drivers are locked into certain teams and there may be certain driver requirements imposed on certain teams (again for storyline purposes).

If multiple teams are bidding for a certain driver, RNG shall decide their fate, as usual.

The Teams

13 teams for 1993, 2 cars per team. These 15 teams have been determined by the needs of the canon and previous developments:

Canon Williams (Klon)
Tyrrell Racing Organisation (Ataxia)
Marlboro McLaren (TCBY)
Camel Benetton Arrows (kevinbotz)
Team Lotus (kinnikuniverse)
Sasol Jordan (Dom)
Footwork Team Oreca (Aislabie)
Larrousse Gitanes Blondes (salamander)
Scuderia Italia (Miguel98)
Minardi Team (pinkd56)
Scuderia Ferrari (GB)
Team Sauber F1 (TBA)
Rial Racing (SeedStriker)

The Race Weekend

305 km except Monaco, you all know how a Formula One race works.

The Points System

10-6-4-3-2-1 for the time being.

The Race Calendar

On the wiki.

If this is all automated, what do I do?

You pick the drivers and engines, hope for the best and if you wish, you may change the lineup by replacing a driver with a driver picked from one of my suggestions if you can provide a good justification.

I'm much more active on the Discord so you can hit me up over there if you want me to do anything for you (within reason of course).

At the minute, I need existing team owners to confirm their teams. You have one week (until the 20th August 2021) to do this.

Since my team from 1992 is ded, I'd be willing to take any team that goes unclaimed by the end of this, but only if necessary.

Okay, given it’s been a month I think it’s appropriate to move onto the next phase.

Slightly different to how it was run before but now there’s a bit more freedom from the perspective of the user.

You can now bid for drivers freely without the goals system in place last year. However note that a few teams have a driver locked in, as well as some engines requiring certain drivers to be hired in some capacity.

You can also choose engine suppliers for the year. Also bear in mind that some teams have engines locked in, and certain engine suppliers will have team preferences or will refuse to work with certain teams, as well as the aforementioned driver requests. If there are multiple bids for engines, I will leave it in the hands of RNG to decide who gets what.

So, here’s a list of engines that you can choose for 1993 (all suppliers can only supply 1 team unless otherwise stated):
Yamaha (will not supply Jordan)
Mugen-Honda (team receiving engines must employ Kazuki Fushida)
Hart
Lamborghini
Ferrari (1992-spec) (will not supply Scuderia Italia)
Renault (would prefer to work with Larrousse)
Ilmor (1992-spec)
Ford Cosworth (1992-spec) (can supply 2 teams)
Ford Cosworth (1991-spec) (unlimited supply)

Entries (as well as teams and drivers locked in) can be found on the wiki.
