1996 Formula Nippon Championship

Post by Gertrand Bachot »

The Series
After the FIA decided to adopt a spec formula for the 1996 International Formula 3000 Championship, and with the Japan Race Promotion unwilling to do the same with Japanese Formula 3000 Championship, this meant that they could no longer use the Formula 3000 name in their championship, due to them using different regulations. Thus, they adopted the Formula Nippon moniker, and this brings us to the point where we are at now.

Race Calendar
Suzuka Circuit - 28th April
Mine Circuit - 12th May
Fuji Speedway - 26th May
Tokachi International Speedway - 23rd June
Suzuka Circuit - 7th July
Sportsland SUGO - 4th August
Fuji Speedway - 1st September
Mine Circuit - 15th September
Suzuka Circuit - 29th September
Fuji Speedway - 20th October

The Technical Stuff
I shall be using a game called Lights To Flag to simulate this, and this will conveniently bring me to the way you (the users) will enter this championship. You simply create a driver, and enter them into one of the available team slots. I will provide a format in which you can enter a driver, their nationality, and the slot that you want them to race in. If there isn't enough users that create drivers that fill the grid, you will get a chance to create a second driver.

The format for entering is here:

Code: Select all

Slot:
Driver name:
Nationality:

Other information will come once the grid is filled up.
Note: At least half of the grid must be Japanese drivers.

BTW, this "Lights to Flag" is pretty indie, right? I only managed to download it after a lot of searches and found no carsets anywhere to test.
Unfortunately I have too many hobbies, so I only show up here once every 14 months. Still, do not remove me, I like to see the topics.

Join #55 Super Aguri as Takuya Nakayama (JPN).

The carset servers stopped working a couple years ago, but there were still many to be found in the Batracer servers (and I have a crapload of carsets at my disposal, so PM me if you want).

Oh and thanks for running one of my carsets GB, it makes me happy :D

Due to a lack of entries, I am going to open up the option of users entering a second (or potentially third) driver into any of the remaining slots.
