2019 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (IT'S FINSIHED)
2019 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (IT'S FINSIHED)
DTM is back for 2019 so it's the start of another season. But there is also the start of a new chapter. The new chapter is that Mercedes has officially withdrawn from the series after 18 years to switch operations to Formula E. This leaves only 2 of the other German car giants, Audi and BMW left to battle head to head. Which 2 will win against one another? Who will take this year's DTM championship?
I will be running races using the Lights To Flag game which i've inspired from Reject Dom using it to run the 2020 Super Formula.

Re: 2019 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters
why isn't it in the canon? cause the canon didn't do any DTM or pretty much anything GT/touring Car related until recently, especially in the historic era. this could be a beginning.
anyways, can I have my team, autosport Mannschaft Gelsenkirchen, enter as the BMW customer team?

Team Approved!
I'd rather spend at least a season off-Canon so that i can learn and relearn the ropes on series management. I am planning and hopeful to run the series as canon for 2020 if i feel capable enough of running.
Also, 2019 is pretty much gone past for most series in canon I think.
Also, just almost forgot, to make submitting teams easier, they will of course be a form to fill in for you to choose which driver and number. Here is the form below and I will be posting it on the main top thread:

Interesting. I only know MotoGP Rider Andrea Dovi raced at DTM once in 2019 as a replacement Driver so it's possible.

You are going to have to have to ask him for approval first before you announce any of his drivers, you cannot just do that unless if it's your driver mate, even if it's a non canon League, I'm sorry but for now I cannot confirm Zeitner's entry yet.

Re: 2019 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters
ok, then I'll go with Tristan vautier instead.
Re: 2019 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters
BMW Team RMG is still available for grabs.
I have decided to introduce Car Points (CP) like in Dom's Super Formula and having been working on the stats and how it can be done, I have decided that for all the teams, the CP Team base stats will start like this:
Mechanical Grip - 6
Ease on Tyres - 6
Reliability - 6
Wet Weather - 6
Ease of Setup - 5
Qualifying - 6
NOTE: The Aero and Engine Stats will be locked in at 8, whilst the rest will be upgradable.
The cost of each attribute will vary depending on its importance:
Mechanical Grip - 2 CP
Qualifying & Wet Weather - 1.5 CP
Ease on Tyres, Reliability, Ease of Setup - 1 CP
Teams are allowed to decrease their attributes. For instance if you decrease Mechanical Grip from 6 to 4, you'll gain you 4 CP. Decrease Qualifying from 6 to 4 will gain you 3 CP and so on.
Please note that you can only use your CPs before the first race of the season.
CPs will be assigned after all the drivers have been signed.

CAR POINTS
It is now the right time to start assigning points for your cars.
Please check the link below for a recep of the Car Points Rules:
https://gprejects.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 08#p400808
The teams will start with the following values:
Audi Sport Team Rosberg: 12 CP
BMW Team RMR: 11 CP
BMW Team RMG: 10 CP
Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline: 10 CP
BMW Team RBM: 9 CP
Audi Sport Team Phoenix: 8 CP
Audi Sport Team WRT: 7 CP
Autosport Mannschaft Gelsenkirchen: 7 CP
Also i have just realised that the number #33 has been submitted twice by 2 teams. Obviously the number cannot be used twice so as a result as Team Rosberg submitted it first, Audi Abt Sportsline (Reject-Dom) will be asked to find a new car number for Rast.

CAR POINTS
It is now the right time to start assigning points for your cars.
Please check the link below for a recep of the Car Points Rules:
https://gprejects.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 08#p400808
The teams will start with the following values:
Audi Sport Team Rosberg: 12 CP
BMW Team RMR: 11 CP
BMW Team RMG: 10 CP
Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline: 10 CP
BMW Team RBM: 9 CP
Audi Sport Team Phoenix: 8 CP
Audi Sport Team WRT: 7 CP
Autosport Mannschaft Gelsenkirchen: 7 CP
Also i have just realised that the number #33 has been submitted twice by 2 teams. Obviously the number cannot be used twice so as a result as Team Rosberg submitted it first, Audi Abt Sportsline (Reject-Dom) will be asked to find a new car number for Rast.

Re: 2019 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters
Considering DTM runs the same numbering system as F1 or MotoGP, that's not really to my liking
Oh well, 63

Updated after realizing that one can decrease the base values.
Re: 2019 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters
Alright, first to fill my second car.
I'll make an offer to Augusto Farfus, if he fails to accept the offer, my fictional driver Kay Lon will enter the series instead.
Plus, we offer Shinichi Takagi a wild card entry at the second round.
Then the upgrades:
Mechanical Grip - 6+2 (4 CP)
Ease on Tyres - 6+2 (2 CP)
Reliability - 6
Wet Weather - 6+1 (1.5 CP)
Ease of Setup - 5
Qualifying - 6+1 (1.5 CP)

Re: 2019 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters
Daniel Juncadella
1-50 BMW RMR
51-100 Testing Role at FE Mercedes
15 Surprisingly, the Spaniard switches to BMW for 2019!
Augusto Farfus
1-75 Takes RBM's offer
76-100 Declines
74 It's a close one. It seemed he wasn't ready to accept, but eventually he did.
Wildcards
Shinichi Takagi
The Japense Super GT regular has received a surprising opportunity of an offer from BMW RBM to take part as a one-off wildcard at Round 2 at the Eurospeedway Road course. This would require him to travel from Japan though, but either way, Takagi gladly accepts it as an opportunity to try out German Touring Cars.
And that's all full-time drivers signed at least.
Just a reminder to Teams that haven't posted their Team Stats yet. Those are Audi Abt Sportsline (Reject_Dom) and BMW Team RMR (Apple2009).
Klon will also need to submit a car number for Shinichi Takagi.
I will start arranging the carset and hopefully soon we shall start racing

Re: 2019 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters
What happened to Philipp? From an impressive 2nd place in qualifying to 15th... I'm assuming he was involved in an incident or there was a problem with the car?
Sixth place for Dani after starting 12th is a decent result.
Overall not the best start to the season, but not the worst either.
I'm still optimistic that we have the pace to contend for the teams' and drivers' championships with a bit of luck on our side.

Race 2 at Lausitzring Road Course:
The race has so ended almost problem free, like the previous race. Although sadly for Wildcard Shinichi Takagi, who ended the race prematurely after driver error caused him to crash out of the race on Lap 37.

Race 3 at Nirburgring
Some bit of drama going on in the race, with an unlucky Laurens Vanthoor having to retire his Rosberg Audi after his car lost steering and went off the track on the main straight. Following a round of pit stops, Sheldon Van Der Linde went flying from the middle pack, taking Fastest laps several times in the process to beat Mike Rockenfeller in the last laps and win his second race of the season.
