What do the upgrades cost and is there a reason why me, as the Goodyear owner would not want to do every upgrade for them?

I for one wouldn't mind slowing down with the deadlines too.

CarloSpace wrote:What do the upgrades cost and is there a reason why me, as the Goodyear owner would not want to do every upgrade for them?

The upgrade costs are summarised here:
Chassis upgrade costs
1 point = $1,000

Engine upgrade costs
1hp = $20,000
1 reliability point = $2,000

Tyre upgrade costs
1 point = $100

You might not want to do upgrades because you don’t have money, or you don’t feel like that area needs upgrading, and I’ve extended the deadline till the end of Friday, so it gives you more time to do them.

Goodyear, and all suppliers technically has an infinite budget; the upgrades are bought by the teams, who if they don't have money can choose to not buy them.

The official statement read: ‘We have looked at the incident and judged Tracy to be completely at fault and for putting himself and other drivers at risk with his dangerous driving, so we have had to take action.’ CART has guaranteed however that Al Unser Jr’s 4th place finish and 12 points will stand no matter what happens.

Penske can appeal the penalty if they wish for $10,000.

I'm still a little confused on how the upgrade system works (which I'm inclined to say is because you haven't done the best job explaining it), but I'll just go with this.

Penske refuses to pay a somewhat-unnessecary fine as we understand that the responsibilities occurred had been done by the driver itself and not the whole team. Also following the need to pay hefty damages, we shall be appealing the penalty in an effort to avoid paying more.

Penske appeal RNG

It has been decided that Penske won’t pay a fine, instead it will go on top of Tracy’s wage for 1999.

1-25 The penalty is withdrawn
26-50 The penalty is halved
51-75 Same as 26-50 + Salles gets the same penalty
76-100 The penalty stands unchanged
42

Tracy will get 2 license points and a $25,000 fine to go on top of his wage in 1999.

I have no idea what that means. So who pays for Goodyear upgrades? If I fill out the form like below, who pays and how much? If Reynard upgrades the chassis does Forsythe have to pay something? I'm worried because we are fairly low on money at the moment and don't want to go into debt.

Tire:

RGR upgrade: Y
D (durability) upgrade: Y

Firstly I apologise for not explaining it properly so you’re stuck in this situation.

The way I’ve done it was by having each upgrade as part of a package that the teams can buy for a set amount of money, and if you don’t have enough money you don’t have to buy them. You can also get a loan from me for as much money as you need to help your finances back on track at a stable 25% interest rate.

Well you use a Swift chassis, and it’s thor97’s responsibility to upgrade that, so if you want the chassis upgrading you’ll need to PM him about it.
