Season 1 FIA FIFA World Cup Racing Series (AMERICAN TOUR)

Post by Gonzalez »

Loosely based on the A1 Grand Prix series and a cancelled unnamed series, but running Stock Cars instead of Open Wheel Cars and using rules of similar aspects to that of the World Cup, I hereby bring you the:

FIA FIFA World Cup Racing Series

How will this series works?

All participating drivers/teams will take part in 3 points races where every point will count towards the nation teams championship. After 3 races, teams ending up in the top 12 of the teams points standings will qualify through to the next race, the rest will be eliminated. After 1 race, 6 teams with the lowest number of points scored in the race will be eliminated next. Then after race 5 (Quarter Finals) and 6 (Semi Finals), a further 2 teams will be eliminated in each race. Race 7 will then be a head-to-head race with 2 teams (4 drivers) that have been eliminated in the semi finals. Whoever wins the race, the team of the winning driver of the race will secure 3rd place of the World Cup, the other will secure 4th place. Then the last 2 remaining teams will participate in Race 8, the grand final of the World Cup. Similar rules apply as the head-to-head race, the winner of the world cup will go to the nation team whose driver has won the race.

Simulator:

I'l be running the series using Nascar Racing 2003 known as NR2003.

Drivers:

Canon and Non-Canon drivers are allowed. With the most obvious fact that drivers have to race for a team representing their country.

Teams:
Maximum of 21 teams (2 drivers per team). Teams must be named of any country around the world, and it's drivers must be of representing nationality of whatever team joining.

The Cars:

I will be using GBR15 mod from the 2015 Nascar Sprint Cup Series which will consists an option of 4 different car templates to choose from:

Chevrolet SS (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By_JXmRIdpGqSm1NX1pUbm5hdUE/view?usp=sharing)
Ford Fusion (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By_JXmRIdpGqdlVWdUNKNnhzSWs/view?usp=sharing)
Dodge Charger (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By_JXmRIdpGqMEVqbThzSWVnSHM/view?usp=sharing)
Toyota Camry (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By_JXmRIdpGqTTJ1MUFtU01hYXc/view?usp=sharing)

Season:

The season will consist of 8 races, 7 will be points races, 1 race will consist of 2 teams (4 Drivers) going head to head in competing for third place of the World Cup.

1. Mexico (Autodromo Hernamos Rodriguez Oval)
2. USA Florida (Daytona International Speedway)
3. USA Texas (Texas Motor Speedway)

4. USA Indiana (Indianapolis Motor Speedway)
5. Canada (Canadian Tire Motorsport Park)
6. USA Nevada (Las Vegas Motor Speedway)
7 and 8. USA California (Auto Club Speedway).

RED: Points Standings Race
BLUE: Round of 12
GREEN: Quarter Finals
ORANGE: Semi Finals
BOLD: 3rd Place
SKY BLUE: THE GRAND FINAL

Points

To be discussed soon.

Penalties

Penalties will be considered after the race(s). Penalties will consist from any of the following:

Yellow Card Warning
Second Yellow Card Warning and subsequent Red Card and Race ban
Straight Red Card and Race ban

Team Entry Form:

Team Name:
Driver 1:

Upon careful thinking, I have decided to accept this entry of such an unpopular, isolated and Island nation.

As a result of this, I have decided to further tweak the rules into allowing similar nations to join. Examples such as Samoa, Nauru, Falkland Islands or any other of those islands that are certified as a nation or country or have a flag. However, in order to respect their low incomes, there will be limitations in the amount of entries of teams from those nations and they will be limited to only one driver in a team. For now I will only allow just one more entry if so if anyone can enter another of those nations, that would be great. Depending on the amount of entries, i may allow more than just two.

I have decided in order to respect the rules in hosting participating nations, Canada, USA and Mexico will immediately be locked in to participate in this season as hosts.

I'll also be adding a choice of which car the team wants in the signing form as well as Driver numbers, so would TCBY and Simtek be willing to tell me which car you want? You'll see the choices at the top of the page.

Also for you two and Dexter too, would you guys be willing to tell me your driver's numbers as well?

I am currently looking at what will the points scoring system will be, as I haven't yet stated in mind how would the system be like at the moment.

Yes, I do apologise, I can sometimes be ill-fated in planning something.

We'll go for the same as New Zealand and our number will be 98 (as in winners of the 1998 World Cup).

Your Team name has to be that of a representing nation or country. But seemingly that both of your drivers are Mexican, your team will be representing as Mexico.

Plenty spaces available. Please come in and get them as this won't go on with just 5 entries. If I don't get enough by next month from this note, a whole time of effort have been wasted.

Rebadging a Chevy into a Peugeot is going to be quite a challenge for me to do comparing that Chevy SS is a full size car and the Peugeot 106 being a small car.

Nevertheless I will give that a go especially modify the front grille to make it look like one of those French cars.

In light of this, as I am getting the feeling of expecting more requests of rebadging models and possibly due to the fact it's the "World Cup", I am now considering whether or not to add 2 more models (Honda Accord, rebadged from a Toyota and BMW M5, rebadged from a Ford) as choices having only recently discovered them in my hard drive. I have originally thought of adding them in next season as I don't want to further develop the rules in any part and risk any sort of enragement. If anyone is interested especially for those willing to change their models do let me know.

As for all the recent entries, you're all been accepted.

Please hurry up!

This series won't stay for long if no signings are coming in.

Otherwise, all this would now become all for nothing.
