(yeah, I didn't had any fancy series names)...
Hello!
As I said a couple of days ago, I officially killed Formula H, as I simply didn't had enough time to finish it. Plus, I realized I could've done a much better job than I did.
So, with newfound confidence (and some examples from other series both canon and non), I'm here to announce my brand new series: The Formula Grand Prix!
With that out of the way, here's the info:
- We'll be running on F1 2017 (you might ask, why not rFactor? The answer is... Well, I wanted to do something different for once! And no, it's not online, don't worry)
- 10 teams and 20 drivers
- We are back to just two championships, Drivers and Constructors
- Unlike Formula H, there are only 5 engine manufacturers: Chevrolet, Honda, Toyota, Ferrari and Renault (no hydrogen engines if you're wondering)
- 19 Rounds
- Points are given to the first 15 (it's the BTCC points system, not the MotoGP one).
More info will be given in the following posts

Re: Formula Grand Prix
Teams and Drivers
To enter the series, you must write the name of your team, engine choice and chassis you want to use.
Like this:
Team: (team name)
Engine: (engine choice)
Chassis: (chassis choice)
Sponsors: (sponsor choice)
Every team will start with a budget of £50,000,000, to spend between engines, chassis, and, of course, driver payments.
As for the drivers, you must name two drivers (both real and fictional are allowed). They will later be put in a list, and randomly drafted to the participating teams. After the draft, then the team managers have to say how much they want to pay the drivers and eventual clauses for certain objectives. The minimum allowed is £110,000.
No current or former Formula 1 drivers or teams are allowed. So if you wanted to bring Charles Leclerc or Robert Kubica, don't even bother. Factory teams are fair game, but McLaren or Haas are off-limits.
The budgets will be updated after every race.
Chassis & Engines
In order to make modding more simple for me, the team can choose only one chassis from the 10 available: in short, if a team gets the Mercedes chassis, then that chassis is locked, and the other teams have to go for the other 9. Since F1 2017 doesn't have a spectator mode, I'm forced to sign my own team, but I'll try to be as fair as possible.
Also, don't come in flocking for the Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull chassis, as the performance will be random. Just sayin'...
Learning from what I saw in Formula H, the engines are limited to just 2 per manufacturer, in order to have a more varied grid. Oh, and engine rebranding is not allowed.
Prize Money
Prize money will be divided in three sections: Race win, Final Championship standings and pole position. The race win prize money will get a £10,000 bonus for every pole sitter who didn't win the race. Once this happens, the count is reset.
That is all!
An excel spreadsheet will be at the first post so that you can see the engine & chassis deals
