International Touring Car Championship

Post by Aislabie »

After the 2017 season, the World Touring Car Championship collapsed in a haze of spiralling costs and shrinking grids. This left a gap in the calendar for a world-class touring car series, and two rival series emerged to fill that breach. The first was the World Touring Car Cup, which emerged as an FIA-backed upgrade to the TCR International Series, while the second concept was altogether more innovative.

Borrowing aspects of the WTCC, World Rallycross Championship and short-lived A1GP series, the International Touring Car Championship (which is in no way related to the '90s series of that name), will take touring car racing to short circuits, for weekends packed with short, sharp, exciting races.

Please feel free to start signing up for teams, but also be aware that there's a reason I'm never going to be allowed anywhere near the canon section. :pantano:

I'll go for Team Denmark because we're going to mark a dent in the championship.
My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.

What did she do in her past life to deserve this?

Big thanks to everyone who's so far signed up; you should all have PMs apart from Australia (who I've not got to yet)

Thanks to everyone who has so far signed up. I am going to have the end of the weekend as an approximate deadline for Season One teams to sign up. It may take me about a week after that to completely sort out the admin, but then we should be able to get racing!

My bad - I moved back to Wales this week and forgot to sort this out. Will get on it tonight or tomorrow

EDIT - This went really bloody sideways when my laptop died only shortly after making that post. I have only today been able to borrow a new laptop off a mate.
