Alternate Car Numbers

Post by TheFlyingCaterham »

So, what I am doing for this Alternate thing is making set car numbers for all of the F1 seasons either don't have set numbers (1950's) or seasons that have all teams keep their numbers from last year unless they win the championship.

So, of course, we start at 1950.
The way I have listed this, is that manufacturers receive their season numbers before privateers, and the drivers keep their numbers for the whole year. Drivers who switch from a manufacturer team to a privateer team (or the other way round in the case of Felice Bonetto) will get a 0 added before their numbers. This will only be reverted if they go back to a manufacturer team during the year.
