The "The last will be first" alternative championship

Post by novitopoli »

Some 2000 years ago, someone said that the last shall be first. Thus, the final classification of each race will be reversed, the last classified driver being placed first. Drivers who DNF, are disqualified or aren't classified despite completing the race aren't counted. I'm not sure whether to consider drivers who DNF but are nonetheless classified by means of completing more than 90% of the race. (I won't count any points for fastest laps, nor I will count Indy as every driver in that race is "classified".)

Johnny Claes 26
Toni Branca 16
Philippe Etancelin 8,5
Yves Giraud-Cabantous 8
Peter Whitehead 8
Bob Gerard 6
Geoffrey Crossley 6
Nino Farina 6
Toulo de Graffenried 6
Louis Chiron 6
Louis Rosier 5
David Hampshire 4
Prince Bira 4
Brian Shawe-Taylor 3
Joe Fry 3
Raymond Sommer 3
Harry Schell 3
Pierre Leveth 3
Charles Pozzi 2
Cuth Harrison 2
Nello Pagani 2
Luigi Villoresi 2
Robert Manzon 2
Luigi Fagioli 2
Eugene Chaboud 1,5

GP Reject's first reject hero dominates the season, making it to the podium in all of his four finishes. No other driver posed a serious challenge to the Belgian, as Toni Branca came second by winning the only two races he contested. No results needed to be dropped.

Claes wins in the same dominant way as in the previous year (two wins, one second and one third place). Louis Rosier's consistency isn't enough a challenge to the Belgian.

We'll be fine. It's Canon, non Kodak.
