Letting some of the regulars change their names that time was a daft idea. I still wonder what happened to that nutter Kostas22.

You've always been Simtek, though, right?

On the other hand, some people tell lies through their user names. I know for a fact that dr-baker is not a doctor at all, in neither the medical sense nor the academic PhD sense. He should be sent to jail for that, for not being a good Christian boy...

I for one can't imagine someone being dishonest about who they are through their username :o

My word of advice: you should be cautious about using any jokes taught to you by the dutch. Or anything taught by the dutch in general. :P

Well, you can relax now as anybody viewing those posts will now think they've been done by our new EuroBrun. Quite handy in a way.

DanielPT will probably claim that's what's happened with some of his old posts and that he's a new DanielPT.

And if he doesn't maybe he should.....

Hello everyone!
I'm a long time lurker especially on the Black Stig Forum and decided to dip my toes into racing team managing.

I'm not sure which series I can join and I also assume many series are waiting for the 2019 season to start?

Take your time figuring it out, there's regularly starting up new series, so don't worry about them. You can also ask to have yourself being put on the waiting list for series. :) Also i see what you did in your name.

Times are changing. People weren't so clever with their usernames back in 2009 as they are today!

Series are currently in their prep phase for 2019 for the most part. Some which haven't had their 2019 series threads opened yet will probably do so shortly, and may well have vacancies. I can tell you for sure, once the 2019 Italian F4 thread gets going, you can get an entry there without waiting! So stay tuned.

Also, if you want to get stuck into something right this very second, I know that TCBY's Alt-BTCC series currently has a vacancy. You can take over AFM Racing as they are currently without a team principal.

A few questions before I plunge into the ASMF canon universe...

This post was helpful and should be IMO made clearer in PMMF introduction thread to help newbies like me :)

And the questions I have:
1. About creating drivers, can I just make up a name, nationality and DoB and that's it?
2. What is DEC?
3. How is a driver's ability/level measured? Who decides which driver will be good and which will be bad?

1) Yeah, pretty much. You'll have the best luck in finding them seats in the bottom level series, some of which have age restrictions, but will have the opportunity to climb the ladder.
2) Driver Entitlement Contract. Essentially, it states who owns that driver and therefore they have autonomy over what that driver does.
3) At the lower levels, drivers usually have their stats randomly generated. As they move through the ranks, performance over past seasons has much more of a bearing on how well they do.

Welcome, by the way!

Thinking about an introduction.

Hello, my name is John, and I live somewhere in Brazil. I'm a designer and I'm currently interested in liveries and other visual aspects of auto racing, like branding and visual graphics.

I've posted some work in livery topic, but it appears to be blocked.
Unfortunately I have too many hobbies, so I only show up here once every 14 months. Still, do not remove me, I like to see the topics.
