2018 Chinese Grand Prix - Predicament Predictions!

Post by Rob Dylan »

Welcome, my friends, to the 2018 Chinese Grand Prix Predicament Predictions Round Three Predictions Championship Grand Prix Weekend Race!

Seeing as I accidentally forgot that it was only a week until China, I am a few days late in opening this thread, so I apologise. Therefore, without further ado, let's get to predicting!

7.
8.
9.
10.

Minor League Premiership:
Did Not Start:

The candidates for Minor League Premiership are as normal: Sergey Sirotkin; Pierre Gasly; Brendon Hartley; Charles Leclerc. Don't forget you can use your double points whenever you like, but only once per season, so use it wisely!

1. Valtteri Bottas (because every time I say this he does terribly)
2. Sebastian Vettel
3. Lewis Hamilton
4. Daniel Ricciardo
5. Kimi Raikkonen
6. Max Verstappen
7. Nico Hulkenberg
8. Pierre Gasly
9. Fernando Alonso
10. Stoffel Vandoorne

Pole Position: Sebastian Vettel
Fastest Lap: Lewis Hamilton
First retirement: Brendon Hartley
Reject of the Race: The stewards (for making that really controversial call on that thing that happened that everyone disagreed with)
Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race: Valtteri Bottas (for coming out of nowhere, and for there being no other major candidates)
Deadbeat Teammate of the Race: Carlos Sainz Jr.
Minor League Premiership: Pierre Gasly
Did Not Start: Marcus Ericsson

Results are in from China -- a little late I know -- and we have our third winner after three races! Mario, the defending champion, takes his first win of the year, with a decent prediction of the top 10 that brought in a huge haul of points. The usual front-runners of this season have stayed pretty consistent, with some new entrants coming in for this race. Without further ado, here are the results.

Results:
1 mario 16
2 Ugncreativeusergname 14
- Enforcer 14
- Aguvazk 14

5 Rob Dylan 12
- Collieafc 12
- RAK 12
- tommykl 12
9 CarloSpace 11
- Normal32 11
- This Could Be You 11
12 Gertrand Bachot 10
- dr-baker 10*
13 pasta_maldonado 9
- Wizzie 9
15 TheFlyingCaterham 8
- Klon 8
17 AdrianBelmonte_ 7
*funniest alternative title

Overall, RAK's 12 points keep him in the lead, but the high-scorers from China edge very close to the front. Aguvazk has been very consistent, and is threatening to take the lead soon. Make sure to keep predicting! Standings below.

Standings:
1 RAK 44
2 Aguvazk 42
3 Klon 39

4 Enforcer 38
5 mario 35
6 Gertrand Bachot 34
7 tommykl 34
8 Rob Dylan 32
9 Ugncreativeusergname 30
10 This Could Be You 30
11 dr-baker 29
12 Wizzie 28
13 CarloSpace 28
14 Aislabie 24
15 AdrianBelmonte_ 24
16 Bleu 22
17 Collieafc 17
18 Dexter249 12.5
19 mash 12
20 yannicksamlad 11
- Normal32 11
22 pasta_maldonado 9
23 IceG 8
- The Flying Caterham 8

Results from Azerbaijan will be up soon :)
