Welcome, welcome, welcome! We present to you Round Five of the 2018 Predicament Predictions Championship, this weekend from Spain!

It's a close-run thing this year, so let's see if we can't shake up the championship order a little bit. 2018 has been a pretty damn hectic season so far this year, so let's hope for some more shenanigans and more rejectdom from the front, just to throw even more unreliability into the mix! Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race: I really can't even attempt a guess at this. I could default to Alonso, but instead I've opted to use a Random Number Generator for this round. After initially getting Raikkonen, but then realising I only set the range from 1-10, it eventually spits out no. 55: Carlos Sainz.

Damn it, I've forgotten about a race for the purposes of Predicament Predictions every year since I won. As of the time I write this, qualifying hasn't started yet, so I'm wondering whether I'll be disqualified for writing up predictions after the end of Third Practice or if I could slip in with a points penalty.

In what was mostly a predictable race at Barcelona - with perhaps the exception of Kimi Räikkönen's retirement, we have our fifth winner in five races, and at his home grand prix to boot: AdrianBelmonte_! Using double points to his advantage, he is the first of the participants to really benefit from using it, and as a result we have a mixed-up set of results and standings throughout. Not all the front-runners scored highly, with especially Aguvazk and Gertrand Bachot scoring low. dr-baker was consistent yet again, finishing second on a meritorious 18 points, whilst the championship leader RAK finished third to keep his overall lead in the championship. Here are the results:
