If the stewards give us some Grade A stupidity then we have a strong case for an FIA nomination.

Some of you (one of you) have been asking about whether to acknowledge the fastest lap as Ricciardo or Verstappen, seeing as Ricciardo was faster, but Verstappen was acknowledged due to the technicality of the flag. I'm going to honour the official results and give it to Verstappen, and that's my final decision. Sorry to the people this screws over, but it does also screw over myself so :P

Well in terms of results this race certainly didn't diappoint  we have a huge points stretch all over the grid, with some real high scores. The top six championship drivers all finished the race, meaning that those who predicted a normal race were gifted a huge deal of points. dr-baker and This Could Be You both scored a huge haul and pulled themselves up the championship dramatically, whilst mario did just as well without the double points. Championship leader RAK finished joint-last, with 7 points to Mario's 20. Here are the full results:

Results
1. dr-baker 28
2. mario 20
3. This Could Be You 20

4. takagi_for_the_win 17
5. Aguvazk 15
6. Rob Dylan 14
7. Bleu 14
8. tommykl 14
9. Enforcer 13
10. Ugncreativeusergname 10
11. CarloSpace 10
12. Gertrand Bachot 9
13. AdrianBelmonte_ 7
14. RAK 7

With that it is not mario who takes over the championship lead, but dr-baker, whose 28 points --- the highest haul of the season so far --- propels him from 4th in the championship to 1st. mario stays very close to second, whilst the general gap between the front-runners and the midfield tightens. Klon's absence drops him a few places in the championship. It goes to show that participation goes a long way in getting those points. And points mean prizes :P Here are the full standings:

Standings
1. dr-baker 100
2. mario 96
3. RAK 95

4. Aguvazk 83
5. This Could Be You 82
6. Enforcer 79
7. tommykl 78
8. Gertrand Bachot 74
9. Klon 73
10. Rob Dylan 72
11. Ugncreativeusergname 70
12. AdrianBelmonte_ 62
13. Bleu 54
14. Wizzie 54
15. CarloSpace 54
16. yannicksamlad 43
17. Aislabie 36
18. takagi_for_the_win 27
19. Simtek 25
20. Dexter249 23.5
21. Normal32 20
22. Collieafc 17
23. mash 12
24. pasta_maldonado 9
25. IceG 8
- The Flying Caterham 8
27. peteroli_34 7

See you for further prestige and excitement at the French Grand Prix in a week's time!

Just keep at, that's always the best advice I can give! Plus, in all honesty Gertrand, you're not even that far off the lead at this point.

I'd definitely agree with that - I had a few poor opening rounds and was down around 7th for a while, so there's still definitely a lot to play for right now.
