Was just going to post on this myself, as it came up on Autosport.

To me he always came across as quieter and less charismatic than di Montezemolo, but that was probably due to his predecessor's presence. Reading his obituary, I realise he actually did a lot more behind the scenes than maybe the general public are aware of.

R.I.P., what a big big shame.
