2018 Singapore Grand Prix - Predicament Predictions!

It's the show that never, ever, ever ends, it's the Predicament Predictions championship, brought to you this time in the wonderful city state of Singapore! Will we see a non-Hamilton/Vettel win this weekend? If you think so, predict it! Here's your blank slate:

There's always a point for the funniest alternative race title you guys can come up with. The candidates for Minor League Premiership are the usual: Leclerc; Gasly; Hartley; Sirotkin. And if you haven't used them yet, you're always welcome to activate double points for one round only.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who'd been expecting him to be up at the front more frequently than he has managed, to the detriment of my scores as a result. However, given the advantage he seemed to have in FP3, surely he can't cock this one up again?

So the results are in from Singapore, a little later than usual, but not never! We have a runaway winner, and their first this year, in CarloSpace! A great use of the double points, especially in a season where the double-pointer has often fallen on their face. 30 points is one of the highest we've had in my two seasons of running this - the record is This Could Be You's haul of 38 points at Monza last year. With a lot of points going away to unexpected drivers, fastest lap for example, we have quite the spread of points in our candidates. It even shakes up the championship! Here's the results.

Sergey Sirotkin and Stoffel Vandoorne equalled in DBTMOTR, so either candidate will get full points if predicted.



All that means that dr-baker has finally been reached, and the thin lead he possessed has been overtaken. .RAK takes the lead again, after holding it for five races from Bahrain. Their lead is only just higher than dr-baker's, so this championship is certainly not over yet. The other front-runners likewise scored highly, and kept their gap to the lead at a strong level. Let's look at the standings.

So there really is a good amount of unpredictability left in this year's championship. Who knows who'll be at the front. Unfortunately it looks like it won't be Razta, as his bet over the Force India result doesn't seem to have come good!
