2018 Brazilian Grand Prix - Predicament Predictions!

Named after the movie of the same name, Brazil brings us the 20th round of the 2018 Predicament Predictions championship! Honk honk, get those airhorns out, because it's a decent track this time :P and it's certainly one for unpredictability. So let's see what happens, shall we? Neither Hamilton nor Vettel has won in the last two races - will it continue that way? Now that he's won the championship, will Lewis yet again drop the ball? Will Bottas finally bloody win?

If you think any, or none of those things, get predicting! The championship is super-close - let's see if we can't get some surprises in Brazil.

There's always a point for the funniest alternative race title you guys can come up with. The candidates for Minor League Premiership are the usual: Leclerc; Gasly; Hartley; Sirotkin. And if you haven't used them yet, you're always welcome to activate double points for one round only.

4. Lewis Hamilton (a bunch of strategic blunders from Mercedes and 45 minutes of team radio complaints)

10. Sergey Sirotkin (a double points-finish for Williams!)

Well, something unpredictable happened. The defending Predicament Champion of 2017, mario, has broken the points record, taking a huge 40 points on double. It's not even close between him and his competitors, as last year's third-placed finisher UncreativeUsername 37 and this year's summer championship leader dr-baker took up the rest of the rostrum. It was a low-scoring day for Enforcer especially, which drops them almost completely out of contention for the title. This is because almost everyone fighting for that trophy scored in the double digits (myself the exception as usual), and at this point getting a good result is crucial (Jonathan Legard intensifies). So here are the results from the Brazilian Grand Prix:

So RAK still holds the lead in the championship, but the big mover has been mario. As usual, he's kept his double points until right before the end of the season, and now he's the only credible contender for that title, which would make it two in a row for him. The 23.5-point lead that RAK held coming into the race has been cut down to 5.4, meaning that any major catastrophe in Abu Dhabi could swing this championship! Let's have a look at these bloody scores! We have eight runners still able to win the championship, what with the 41 points possibly available at the final race (82 for the double-pointers).

OK, I don't know how on earth I managed that - if I am honest, I thought that it'd gone the other way and that I'd blown that opportunity.
