Could we be about to see the Deletraz name back in F1?

Firstly, hi everyone! Sorry I have been away from all this lately. Isn't everyone else rather disillusioned with F1 lately due to the domination by the top teams and the rest of the field basically becoming their 'servants'?

However, Louis Deletraz is about to have an F1 test with Haas after the Abu Dhabi GP!!!! Could we be about to see the Deletraz name back in F1 possibly in 2020!!

I know Deletraz is obviously talking up his chances in this interview but as I understand he is now part of the Ferrari academy and this could plant him in a seat either with Haas or Sauber in the future?

Imagine the buzz around this site if we get the 'Deletraz' name back in an F1 seat! Reminds me of when Luca Badoer came back into F1 in 2009 and we had the Luca Badoer comeback edition podcasts with Jamie and Enoch. There was such a unique excitement round the whole site at that time.

Thoughts?

*Obviously in the spirit of the website I'm sure we would all be routing for the guy and genuinely want him to do well!

I have never seen a thread more worthy of the "fire" sticker. I for one welcome this possibility with open arms. The site lacks a specific rejectful mascot these days, what with Manor gone, and Gutiérrez only shouting from the sidelines. A Délétraz is exactly what is needed to boost the enthusiasm of our users :D

He's big, he's bad, he's better than his dad, Stuart Br... I mean... Louis Délétraz!

Louis Délétraz in a full-time seat might get me genuinely interested in F1 again. Roll on 2020?

Not sure it has happened? Definitely not the Hills, nor Fittipaldis, nor Verstappens, nor Rosbergs, nor Brabhams...

How could I forget?! Markus, in his one race, started both last and first on the grid; ran in last, then first, then last then DNFing...

But Manfred wasn't a reject because he scored a 5th place in 1982.

Still makes him a reject without an extra sixth though.

I know that :badoer:’s son is currently in karting (Brando), there’s also Ericsson’s brother in British F4 but I can’t think of anyone else of the top of my head.

honourable mention obviously goes to Roy Nissany though

EDIT: just remembered Juju Noda (daughter of Hideki) who is (allegedly) the F4 Lap Record holder at Okayama but I haven’t seen any real proof of a lap time to back it up...

She's so far only participating in non-championship races, mostly between older drivers. Not much is known of these non-championship races. Her karting results seem okay but not mind-blowing.We'll see. She'd be the cutest driver ever if she makes it to F1 one day though (even cuter than ricciardo!)

André Pilette also had three sixth places, which means he's not a reject driver.
